‘My children are all queer’ reveals Marcia Gay Harden while raising money for anti-LGBTQ laws

Actress Marcia Gay Harden revealed that her three children are all queer during a fundraiser to fight anti-LGBTQ legislation.

The 63-year-old actress shares Eulala, 24, Julitta, 19, and Hudson, 19, with her ex-husband, director Thaddaeus Scheel, 58.

She appeared on the Drag Isn’t Dangerous: A Digital Fundraiser, which raised money to fight anti-LGBTQ legislation, such as the anti-drag bill passed in Tennessee that is expected to go into effect in July.

When asked by co-host Adam Shankman why she expressed her support for this cause, she revealed that her three children are strange.

“What drives me is because it’s right and what’s happening right now is wrong. What drives me is, my kids are all weird,” Harden said.

She added, “My oldest child is non-binary. My son is gay. My youngest is runny. And you know, they’re my kids and they teach me every day.’

The actress continued that the new law in Tennessee and similar laws popping up in other states are:so fear-based.”

“It spreads that kind of fear and hatred among other people. I believe this country will fight that,” she said.

She also promoted her performance on Instagram, posting photos from the event to her 116,000 followers.

The only dangerous thing about drag is how hot these Queens are!’ Harden started in her position.

“Join the @dragisntdangerous fundraiser in support of LGTBQ+, which basically means in support of all of us!” she continued.

“Our nation, our neighbors, our children, artists, our singers, our dancers, our better leaders, CEOs, writers, spiritual leaders, basically our humanity,” she said.

Gay is here to stay. Drag is here to stay. Donate what you can and join in spreading the love,” she concluded.
