My boyfriend of three years shared a bed with another woman and thinks it’s okay – am I wrong?

- Her boyfriend of three years shared a bed with another woman while traveling
- He didn’t tell her until after the holidays
A young woman feels hurt and confused after her boyfriend of three years slept with another woman – then told her it was ‘no big deal’.
The 21-year-old said her boyfriend went on a trip with his best friend, his best friend’s wife and her single girlfriend.
Only two beds were available during the short break, so the couple took one and left the other two to share.
“He didn’t tell me this was the situation until he got home,” she wrote in a post on Reddit.
“He apologized for not telling me sooner, but doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with him sleeping with her.”

The young woman said she was upset by her partner’s sleeping arrangement and dismissive attitude.
“He doesn’t understand why I’m upset and I’m having a hard time explaining it to him. I tried to tell him that sharing a bed is essentially an act of intimacy, and it pains me that he shared it with someone else. But he disagrees because they haven’t done anything,” she said.
The woman also admitted she was confused about whether she “deserved” to be upset.
And the audience seemed just as torn.
Some people chided the friend for his unfair, borderline behavior and told the young woman to “run.”
Dishonesty is never okay. If he’s afraid to be honest with you, he needs to break up with you. It’s incredibly disrespectful to share a bed with another woman,” said one woman.
“He accuses you of being jealous and controlling and unreasonable so he can do what he wants and be disrespectful to you. YOU decide what you will and will not tolerate,” said another.
“I would also have a problem with this. It might have been different if he told you beforehand, but it’s kind of weird that he told you afterwards,” a third added.
While others claimed she overreacted.
“I wouldn’t care whether he told me before or after in this situation. If I knew, nothing would have changed, but I’m quite liberal in spirit,” one woman claimed.
‘Personally I don’t really see a problem. Unless he did something to the girl, there’s not much of a problem. He probably didn’t tell you because he didn’t think it was important,” said another.
How would you have liked that situation to turn out? 2 beds, 4 people. 2 of the people are married. So you either wanted the married couple to sleep separately (unreasonably) or you wanted your boyfriend to sleep on the floor of a hotel he probably came in for?,” another asked.
The man only confessed to having slept in the same bed after the holiday
Some questioned the couple’s motives.
‘Does his best friend hate you? It sounds like they’re trying to break you up,’ someone said.
“Weird that the married couple thought it wouldn’t be a problem. Would they be okay with sharing a bed with a friend of the opposite sex,’ another asked.
“It makes sense to have the boys share one bed and the girls the other,” added a third.
