My 8 pound son was going through a massive growth spurt
A 19-month-old baby has grown so big that he can now share clothes with his four-year-old brother.
Xaylen Asher Richard, who is 19 months old, is over the 100th percentile for his height and can now fit into clothes more than twice his age.
Mom Salitza Richard, 31, of Dallas, Texas, was concerned about her son’s health after he grew very fast in a short time and didn’t fit into 12-18 month clothes until he was just six months old.
Athlete trainer Salitza believes her son was delayed in walking until he was older because of his height, but jokes that his height has given her a much larger bicep and has to carry it longer.
Already being scouted for soccer teams at 19, Salitza knows her son will definitely be tall when he’s older, even though he was only 8 pounds when he was born.

Salitza said, “It was insane how fast he grew. He was above the 100 percentile every time we went to the doctor.
“It was hilarious the first time we went to the doctor when he had his two week checkup. She asked us if we were sure we had the right baby as he always looked older for his age.
“I was worried about his health because I wondered if it was healthy for the baby to be as fat as he was, and she said everything was perfect.
“I have an older son who was the complete opposite, he was always in the bottom percentile. My oldest son Judah is four and Xaylen is just over a year old and they now wear the same size clothes.

“The rate at which it is growing is insane. I had clothes from when Judah was younger that he wore, but I keep having to size up and change so often.
“When he was one month old, he wore clothes from three to six months, when he was three months old, he wore clothes from six to nine months, when he was six months old, he wore clothes from twelve to eighteen months, and now he pushes three months old. years old clothes.
Because of his size, people always assume that Xaylen is a lot older than him, but Salitza claims it influenced his development of walking.
She explains, “People always think he’s older than he is. He’s been so heavy, he now weighs 31 pounds and Judah currently weighs 32 pounds.
“He has been delayed in growing and walking because he only started walking a few days ago.

“It’s been a game changer now that he can finally walk. He was so excited too.
“It was crazy because it happened overnight, he started taking a few steps and now he’s running a few days later.
“He doesn’t really get hurt either, he runs over Judah and Judah will be the one to cry. He’s literally like a bowling ball, he’s such a happy baby.

“We went on vacation once and I was pulled over and asked to buy him a seat ticket because he didn’t believe he was under one let alone two years old which is the age for a baby for a seat on an airplane.
‘We were asked if he was too old to sit on my lap.
“My husband works with NFL athletes and people are already saying we should try him out and get him on the team now.
“I also work with a lot of high schools and they say they want him on their teams as a player, so he’s already been scouted, it’s hilarious.
“People will ask how we got such a big baby and we are so small. I’m 5’4 and my husband is 5’9, we already know he will definitely be taller than us.’
