On TikTok, summer concertgoers are poking fun at the unofficial seasonal uniform that has unexpectedly emerged for Gen Z and millennial women: variations on a flowy white midi skirt paired with a crop top or denim vest and white sneakers.
Jacksonville, Florida-based content creator Teresa Pham shared a video showing what people wore at Hozier’s concert in May, announcing: ‘The Hozier uniform is a white midi skirt, crop top or flowy top, and boots or comfortable sneakers – pair with some denim and suddenly you’re the best dressed person there.”
“Proud of the Hozier concertgoers for understanding the dress code,” the creator continued — and now the party-ready ‘fit has made its way to concerts galore, but can you try it without looking exactly like everyone else?

‘I’m going to stick out like a sore thumb. My skirt is green!’ one follower joked, while the creator encouraged her, writing, “There were a few people wearing green! Don’t worry, I wore blue! Green can represent the song as real people do, very earthy.’
“My sister and I counted every white skirt at the Hozier concert in our neighborhood and we counted 128,” one commenter stated.

The costume in question isn’t just limited to Hozier concerts.
Content creator Sarah Lynn shared a video with concert outfit ideas for country concert season, including a white midi skirt paired with a tight denim vest, which she later called her “basic Nashville summer outfit.”
Fashion and lifestyle blogger Hunter Premo shared a video in the exact same outfit, showing her followers how to make it their own and add a little personality to the huge summer trend.
“I went to the Noah Kahan concert in Nashville last weekend and all the girls were wearing white maxi skirts and denim vests,” Hunter explained.

The Nashville-based influencer then showed off the white Aritzia maxi skirt with layers and the cropped denim Wrangler vest with a bolo tie, woven bag, cowboy hat, cowboy boots and round sunglasses.
Hunter then showed it off in different ways, showing her followers how to try out the hairstyle with a little spice.
One option included red Dolce Vita men’s sneakers, a neckerchief, oversized sunglasses and a trucker cap.
Another style upgrade showed off a funky vintage belt with charm bracelet chain.
“It’s still a white skirt and a denim vest. Let’s be more creative girls,” one commenter snapped.
But it is not without reason that many women thought it was the outfit of the season.
New York City-based content creator Erika Dwyer responded to a viral video from TikTok creator Ali Tolar, who showed everyone wearing the same outfit at a Noah Kahan concert, saying, “Those kinds of basic outfit choices… are popular for a reason.”
Erika explained in the comments, “If you match with the girls, your outfit is literally co-signed as cute!”
One commenter summed up why it became the go-to attire for outdoor shows, saying, “Not only is it cute, but it looks comfortable and it looks breathable without showing a lot of skin, without being athleisure.” Depending on the location, tick a lot of boxes.”
