‘Murderess’ is seen kissing boyfriend in haunting final photo with ‘poisoned’ dessert she fed him before fleeing
Police in Rio de Janeiro are searching for a woman who allegedly poisoned her boyfriend just days after they were caught on camera kissing in an elevator.
Luiz Ormond was found dead in his apartment on May 20 after concerned neighbors called 911 about a foul odor coming from his home.
Investigators believe Júlia Cathermol poisoned the brigadeiros – a traditional Brazilian dessert that resembles a cupcake – that the businessman had consumed.
Although the autopsy report did not reveal the cause of death, the medical examiner did find chocolate residue in Ormond’s digestive tract.
Ormond’s body, which was in a state of advanced decomposition, was found lying on the living room couch with a mark on the head consistent with a head injury.

Two fans were left on, including one on the floor facing an open window. Police also found a packet of morphine.
Neighbors told authorities they last saw Ormond walking out of the building’s pool with Cathermol on May 17.
A surveillance camera in the elevator showed Ormond holding a plate in which authorities said the poisoned brigadeiros were wrapped, while Cathermol carried a bottle.
The couple shared a kiss in the elevator before it stopped on a floor, where a woman entered. Ormond and Cathermol chatted with the woman until they got off the elevator.
A second surveillance camera showed Cathermol leaving the gym and returning to the apartment on May 19.
Suyany Breschat was arrested on Wednesday for her alleged role in the murder of Luiz Ormond. She told police that Ormond’s girlfriend, Júlia Cathermol, had sold his car to pay off a $115,000 debt she was carrying.

Authorities said Cathermol stayed at the apartment all weekend and left with suitcases on the afternoon of May 20.
Authorities on Wednesday arrested Suyane Breschak, a friend of Cathermol, for allegedly helping her get rid of Ormond’s personal belongings, including a car that sold for $14,000, according to the Brazilian news outlet G1.
Breschak told investigators that the money was used by Cathermol to pay off a $115,000 debt that lasted five years. She added that Cathermol had paid her about $960 a month.
She also revealed that Cathermol worked as a prostitute and that she was hired as a “spiritual mentor” so that her ex-friends and family did not find out what kind of business she was really involved in.
A man who purchased the vehicle in the city of Cabo Frio was questioned by police and showed a handwritten note as proof that the car was registered in his name.
He had Ormond’s laptop and cell phone with him and was arrested for possession of stolen property.
