Mummy blogger slammed for sharing her child’s hospital visit to social media: ‘It’s insensitive and vulgar’
An Australian mummy blogger has been criticized by a popular influencer podcast for posting photos of her children’s hospital visits on social media.
Margaux Follis recently posted photos to Instagram of her child going to the hospital for a medical emergency and was criticized for sharing the private moment.
Follis shared photos of her toddler daughter Fleur being taken away in an ambulance and strapped into a hospital bed after suffering a seizure.
‘5.11.23 – Probably the scariest day of my life. I wouldn’t wish what I went through on anyone. “You hear about febrile seizures, but you don’t realize how scary it is until it happens to your own child,” she captioned the photos.
Identical triplets Amy, Kate and Sophie Taeuber were unimpressed and launched a scathing tirade against the mummy blogger on their Outspoken podcast.

“Margaux is an influencer and to me it sounds like she’s sharing her kids for content and she also added a million hashtags to the post,” one sister said.
‘It’s clear she was trying to get as many people to see this as possible. Hashtag-insensitive and vulgar.”
Follis’ post quickly ruffled the feathers of her followers, who wondered why she would share such a private moment on social media.

‘Children are not satisfied. Take a photo of your child during a scary and vulnerable moment. Don’t your children deserve privacy?’ one angry follower sniped.
However, Margaux wasn’t having it and immediately responded with a snarky comment: ‘That’s absolutely fine, girl. Your life will be much better without my ‘toxic’ content.’
Margaux added that she did not have a “photo shoot” and posted the hospital photos to “raise awareness” about the dangers of febrile seizures.
The Taeubers didn’t accept that explanation, saying that a better way to raise “awareness” about a condition that affects young children would be to post the photos much later, when the child is safely out of the hospital.
