A mother has issued a warning after she was almost ‘swindled’ by a high price increase on Bluey chocolate milk.
Lyndal was buying her daughter’s favorite drink – flavored milk with Bluey’s image on the bottle – at an independent supermarket when she noticed something strange at the checkout.
The 250ml bottle of chocolate milk ($5.12) was significantly more expensive than the strawberry milk, which she said usually costs $2.12.
She shared photos of the shocking price and asked other shoppers to remain vigilant for “unreasonable prices” when scanning items at the checkout.

“My girl’s favorite drink is strawberry bluey milk, but today I took the chocolate for something different,” Lyndal shared on a popular Facebook group.
She then pointed out the cost of the milk after scanning the purchase.
“I immediately took it back for the strawberry, which cost $2.12 instead,” she said.
The mother revealed that she usually shops at the same store, an independent retailer of a larger unnamed supermarket.
Lyndal also shared another anecdote about a fellow shopper who was confused by the prices.
“Weirdly, I was there a few weeks ago and a client popped in to get a can of hairspray. I heard her say it was $4 more than the ticket on the shelf!’
She added, “Just keep your eyes peeled.”

Many mothers were outraged by the high price of a bottle of flavored milk.
“That’s crazy!” said a woman. ‘That must be a typo when they entered the price into the system, that’s unreal!’
‘Jeez, you can buy a 2 liter bottle of chocolate milk for little more. That’s insane,” said another.
‘That must be a mistake. I have never paid more than € 2.50. My kids don’t drink strawberry milk,” said a third mother.
Others were shocked that the mother kept buying the same expensive chocolate milk and provided her with a cheaper hack instead.
“I buy big bottles of chocolate milk and refill them over and over in the Bluey bottles,” said one mom. “My kids never know the difference and it’s much more cost effective.”
“I make some Milo and put them in the Bluey bottles for my daughter,” revealed another.
