A mum has revealed she’s “gobsmacked” by the results after trading in expensive dishwashing tablets for a cheap $3 buy from Woolworths.
The savvy shopper said she used to buy Finish dishwasher tablets at the store, which cost as much as $56 for a pack of 50, but then she decided to try something else once and now “my dishes and washer are so clean.”
The woman said she bought a 1kg container of Shine Dishwashing Powder for just $3.90 and was impressed with the results.

She posted on Facebook: ‘I’m a bit gobsmacked.
‘I usually buy Finish dishwasher tablets. I was a little tight on cash so I bought this for $3.90.
“I was scared, but my dishes and washing machine are very clean.”
The woman wasn’t the only shopper who said she’d traded in expensive dishwashing tablets for the Shine product.
Others said that with the rising cost of living, they too made the trade and “didn’t look back.”
“Why not save money? Groceries are terribly expensive,” one person wrote.
Another added: ‘I will never buy tablets again. The powder works much better and is much cheaper.’
A third posted: ‘I use the powder. It works great and it’s cheap’, while a quarter said that ‘the powder turned our dishwasher into the perfect dishwasher again’.
