Mum slammed by parents for ‘lazy’ and ‘disgusting’ school lunchbox hack: ‘Poor kids’
A mum is being criticized for the ‘disgusting’ school meals she prepares every week – and hundreds of people are criticizing her ‘time-saving’ hack.
The mother meal prepares sandwiches for her children every Sunday throughout the week.
“My kids love peanut butter sandwiches, so I started a new routine. Every Sunday I eat an entire loaf of bread and make as many sandwiches as possible,” she shared on Facebook.
‘Then I keep them in my fridge for the kids’ packed lunches all week. Makes my morning routine easier.’
Hundreds of other parents were quick to call her “lazy” and say the food would be soggy and stale before the end of the week.

“Personally, I can’t even wrap my head around the idea of making sandwiches for my kids the night before, let alone at the start of the week and putting them in the fridge,” one person said.
‘How dirty! They’ll be disgusting in a day or so,” a second added. ‘Poor children! Take 30 seconds to make a sandwich or wake up five minutes earlier.’
‘Someone is lazy. Make them the night before or wake up five minutes earlier. Your children deserve a fresh lunch!’ another wrote.
“So glad my mom didn’t do this for me… that Friday sandwich would be a bit average,” one woman added.
One mother said it gave her ‘nightmares’.
‘As a child I always threw mine away. Only fresh peanut butter sandwiches. Should be eaten within minutes of preparation,” she said.
‘Wow. I really feel spoiled now that I get a fresh sandwich earlier. I used to be jealous of my friends with chocolate cake, roll-ups and poppers, but it seems I didn’t mind as much as a fresh roll,” said another mum.
Some took issue with the single-use plastic bags, but others applauded the mother’s bright idea.
‘My mother made sandwiches and froze them. They would be exactly right when it was time for lunch. I remember her cream cheese, raisin, and pecan sandwich was my favorite!” One shared.
‘I’m the oldest of eight. On Sunday nights my mother made 60 sandwiches for the whole week,” wrote another.
