Baltimore police have ordered students and locals to stay indoors after at least four people were struck by gunfire Tuesday evening. The situation is still ongoing.

It is understood the first 911 call was made at 9:28 pm after bullets were fired in one of the campus dining halls.

Police said in a statement: “BPD is on scene for an active shooting in the 1700 block of Argonne Drive.

“We are asking everyone to take shelter in place and avoid the area.”

The college told students to avoid Thurgood Marshall Hall — a dorm with dining facilities attached — as well as the Murphy Fine Arts Center.

Spokesman Vernon Davis confirmed there were at least four victims, but their conditions were not yet known.

Morgan State University said in a statement: “There is currently an active investigation into a report of shots fired on or near campus.

“Please stay away from the area of ​​Thurgood Marshall Hall and the Murphy Fine Arts Center and take shelter.”
