According to Metro Nashville Police, the bullets were fired near the intersection of Jefferson Street and 27th Street just after 5 p.m.
In a statement on X.com, they said that “the scene is safe. All victims are in area hospitals.’
The police have confirmed this Fox that several people had been shot. According to witnesses, more than a half dozen gunshots rang out before they fell to the ground for cover.
Some bystanders said they saw the victims being carried on stretchers.
