Several people were shot dead Wednesday during an Eid celebration in Philadelphia, where dozens of people gathered to celebrate the end of Ramadan.
It is still unclear whether the shooting was targeted, but at least five people are said to have been injured.
The event took place outside the Philadelphia Masjid and featured NBA star Mo Bamba.
A pedestrian running from the shooting was also hit by a car, and a police officer on the scene fired his weapon as the shooting began.
It is unclear whether the officer arrested the suspect.

The shots reportedly came shortly after 2 p.m., where a large crowd had gathered for the religious event.
Officials set up a family reunification center after groups were separated when shots rang out, sending the large crowd into a frenzy.
Schools in the area have been put on lockdown.
Abdallah Legh, general manager of the nearby Girard Meat Market, said Fox29 he heard about three or four shots coming from the area.
He said the crowd ran from the scene and about 30 children flocked to his store for safety.
“Everyone was running,” he said.
A young child reportedly started livestreaming after the shooting, saying, “This is scary because I almost got shot.”
“I ran straight and almost got shot, and I just kept running….”
A large crowd quickly dispersed as shots rang out, with one of the shooting victims believed to be a suspected shooter
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said in a statement after the shooting that he has increased police presence at mosques but that there is no immediate known threat.
“While there is no immediate threat to Nassau County as a result of the shootings in Philadelphia, I have ordered increased patrols around mosques throughout the county to protect our residents,” the statement said.
“The public is reminded to call 911 immediately if they see or hear anything threatening or suspicious.”
Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania tweeted: “My office has been in contact with local officials regarding the shooting at an Eid al-Fitr event in Philadelphia. As we gather more details, I urge everyone to stay safe and listen to law enforcement.”
