MTV reveals 2023 Video Music Awards nominations – as the entire list of nominees for Artist of the Year is female-only for the first time, including Taylor Swift leading the pack
The nominations for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards as the entire list of contenders for Artist of the Year consists of only women for the first time, as megastar Taylor Swift leads the pack.
It’s going to be a huge night for the star as she bagged a total of eight awards that night.
In addition to Artist of the Year, Taylor’s iconic track Anti-Hero has also been nominated for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Visual Effects.
Taylor already holds the record for the most wins ever with three for Bad Blood (2015), You Need To Calm Down (2019) and All Too Well: The Short Film (2022), so she would extend the record to four.
