Macy Gray has left Surreal Life viewers in hysterics by shamelessly declaring that she uses “cocaine and a few shots” to boost her well-being.
The 56-year-old casually revealed the news during the premiere episode of the new season of the MTV reality show on Wednesday, when she learned that she and her fellow celebrities would be taking a breathing class in the Colombian mountains.
Macy wasn’t too keen on the group trip, saying she “deliberately over-breathed.” She said she wasn’t a fan of “hippie shit” and preferred to relax by taking drugs.
She said in her confessional, ‘Oh God! I just don’t do that hippie shit.’
“I live in LA, a country full of hippies, but I don’t heal that way.”

A producer interrupted the conversation and asked, “How would you do it?”
Macy, real name Natalie McIntyre, didn’t hold back and replied, “Like cocaine and a few shots.
“Put them edibles down my throat and I’m good, girl! Order me a pizza and I’m straight. I don’t need all that sh**, I’m good.”
It didn’t take long for social media to respond to Macy’s eccentric comments, with fans shocked that she had the audacity to make this confession on national television.
On X someone said: ‘She made me weak… I just love her whole personality. The world deserves that kind of transparency lol.’
Another wrote: ‘Macy Gray in Surreal Life is entertainment of the highest order.’
A third wrote: ‘Macy Gray in this Surreal Life gives me life. She is so unintentionally funny, OMG I fell in love with her.’

Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets airs Tuesday nights at 9:00 PM Eastern Time on MTV.
The new season follows eight celebrities who live together in a large villa in Colombia.
During their stay, the TV stars are taken out of their comfort zone and take part in various missions, revealing secrets about each participant.
In addition to Macy, the cast also includes Chet Hanks, Ally Brooke, OT Genasis, Kim Zolciak, Josie Canseco, Johnny Weir and Tyler Posey.
This isn’t the first time Macy has shocked audiences on national television.
Earlier this month, Macy surprised the cast of Australian news program The Project when she started swearing during an impromptu performance.

The singer was being interviewed backstage in Hobart ahead of the first show of her current Australian tour when she used the F-word twice.
As the segment came to a close, Macy promoted her new song I Am, which features explicit lyrics.
“Can I swear?” she asked host Waleed Aly before starting the song.
After The Project host gave her the green light, Macy sang, “I am who I am, f*** you, I don’t give a f*** you.”
“I think we all felt that,” a shocked Aly said after the performance, before co-host Sarah Harris burst out laughing.
“I asked permission,” Macy replied.
“Yes, it was very polite of you to use the swear word, Macy,” Aly replied.
