Queensland teacher dies alongside husband in horror crash

A beloved teacher and her husband have died in a horror motorcycle accident.

Sandra Schuptar, 65, and her husband Peter, 63, were riding a Honda Goldwing motorcycle when they collided with a Nissan Patrol at an intersection in Logan, southwest of Brisbane, about 7.25pm ​​on Sunday.

The pair died on the spot.

Mrs Schuptar was reportedly a well-liked teacher at the nearby Mt Ommaney Special School.

In a statement, the school said their community was left “incredibly heartbroken.”

A Queensland Police spokesperson said the pair ‘initially treated for serious injuries, but both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

“The driver of the Nissan, a 21-year-old man from Carbrook, was not physically injured,” she added.

Police are calling on any witnesses or people with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
