A partially blind elderly man has reportedly been robbed while trying to withdraw money from an ATM in a shopping mall in western Sydney.
The 72-year-old was in line around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, and needed help due to his visual impairment.
While he was waiting for staff to help him, police say a woman approached him and offered to help him.
The man accepted the woman’s help, and while the transaction was being processed, the woman allegedly withdrew a larger amount than requested.
The police would like to get in touch with a woman who may be able to help with the investigation.
It is further alleged that she then fled with the money.

She is described as being white in appearance, between 18 and 23 years old, with a thin build and brown hair.
At the time, she was wearing a gray cropped T-shirt, light blue ripped jeans, black thongs, a dark-colored backpack, and glasses.
