Mrs Hinch’s father has died: Star shares ‘unimaginable pain’ as dad ‘passes away suddenly but peacefully in his sleep’ – a month after hospital stint for respiratory issues

Mrs Hinch, real name Sophie Hinchliffe, has revealed that her father Alan has died.

Sophie, 34, shared a photo gallery on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing that her father had died suddenly in his sleep on April 25, a month after being admitted to hospital with breathing problems.

She wrote: ‘April 25, 2024. My dear father passed away suddenly but so peacefully while he slept. My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down.

‘A deep, unimaginable pain that I cannot put into words.

“My loving father, our boys’ beloved grandfather, your workshop is locked and I sleep with the key. I promise to make your workshop dream come true.

‘Until we meet again and sing together. Good night daddy, my absolute king. Your Bubberloo.

‘Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but can’t. All that unused love collects in the corner of your eyes, the lump in your throat and in that hollow part of your chest. Sadness is just love where you can’t go.”

Sophie did not reveal her father’s cause of death in the heartfelt statement.

In April, Sophie, who is married to husband Jamie and has sons Ronnie, four, and Lennie, two, revealed her father had been in hospital for three weeks.

She said at the time: ‘My father is currently in hospital.

“My father has never been blessed, shall we say, with fantastic health, from his chest, his lungs, his heart. He’s always had a hard time.’

Sophie then told how when her father retired, she made a workshop for him in her £1 million ‘forever home’ farmhouse.

She said she filled the workshop with wood and tools so he could “live the dream he’s had since he was a little boy.”

Sophie had said her father was in ‘very safe hands’ in hospital and praised the ‘incredible’ nurses who cared for her beloved father.

It has been a difficult time for Mrs Hinch, who also revealed to her three weeks ago that her grandmother was also in hospital.

‘My grandmother is also in the hospital. guys bless her heart, she fell.

‘I’m sure my grandmother is really affected by this mentally. The thought of falling.

‘As you get older, you worry more. It’s just not nice to have loved ones in the hospital. It’s just a worry, it’s just something you never want.”

Sophie then opened up about her eldest son Ronnie, four, who had previously revealed he was having problems with speech development.

Holding back tears, she said, “Jamie [her husband] and I’ve been going through a number of different assessments and different processes with our Ron at the moment.”

“As parents, we’re going through … we’re navigating things on our own right now.”

Sophie took to social media on Friday to reveal that she was experiencing a number of ‘stumbles in her personal life’.

She apologized for her “radio silence” and admitted that she “really needed to get up and just get away,” but reassured fans that her break from social media was “only temporary.”
