Clicking the link in the story took users to the relevant product page on Amazon’s website, and the video ended with the front cover of the notebook reading “Mrs Hinch Life in Lists,” while Hinchliffe said, “In my own notebook of course.’

The post drew 34 complaints that it was not clearly identifiable as an advertisement for Sophie’s own notebook.

Sophie confirmed that the notebook was of her own design and was still for sale in various stores, but believed it was clear the post was an advertisement and that it was her own product she was promoting.

She said she would like to include “advertisement” in future social media posts with links to her own products in the future.

But the ASA ruled that the commercial intent of the post was ‘ambiguous’, noting that the line ‘Mrs Hinch Life in Lists’, and her statement that it was ‘In my own notebook, of course’, was not used until the end of the ad popped up. .

The watchdog concluded: “We felt that the ad was not immediately clear about Ms Hinchliffe’s commercial relationship with the notebook.”

And earlier this year, she launched a children’s book based on her own family, in her latest business venture.

The cleaning sensation – whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe – skyrocketed to prominence in recent years thanks to her cleaning videos, with a total of 4.6 million followers.

She announced the news on her page, sharing an adorable clip of her kids Ron and Lennie wrapping up the children’s book, which she’s dubbed Welcome to Hinch Farm.
