MrBeast’s side kick Chris Tyson reveals he has started ‘life-saving’ hormone replacement therapy

YouTube star MrBeast’s sidekick Chris Tyson has revealed he started “life-saving” hormone replacement therapy two months ago.

Tyson, 26, who says he uses all pronouns, revealed how his physical appearance “already started to change” after two months of treatment.

Tyson, who has appeared in numerous videos on YouTube along with longtime friend MrBeast, tweeted, “Informed consent HST saved my and many others’ lives. The hurdles gender nonconforming people have to overcome to get life-saving gender-affirming health care in a first-world country are wild to me.

“Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies.”

Tyson, who revealed he has struggled with gender dysphoria for years, said he decided to start HRT two months ago.

People assigned male at birth are typically prescribed estrogen because it blocks testosterone and allows people to better adjust to their gender identity.

Tyson has a two-year-old son named Tucker with Katie Tyson, whom he married in June 2018. It is not clear what their relationship status is after the YouTuber announced his HRT treatment.

Tyson credited Tucker with helping him through his treatment. The YouTuber tweeted, “If it wasn’t for this little nugget I never would have gotten this far.

“He taught me so much about myself in such a short time. I can’t wait to learn through life together.”

The number of people who are transgender and undergo surgery and hormone therapies to transition has increased dramatically in recent years – especially in the US.

Tyson revealed he underwent HRT after a Twitter user shared side-by-side photos of him before and after therapy, asking “bro what happened.”

“HRT, and it’s only been two months,” Tyson wrote in response, adding that he had been learning about gender dysmorphia for 21 years after discovering his sister’s dresses in her closet.

He added, “The amount of body positivity I’ve gotten in just two months is insane.”

Menopause has many measurable benefits, including alleviating gender dysphoria in 80 percent of people undergoing the changes, improving their sex lives and overall quality of life.

But introducing higher levels of sex hormones isn’t without risks, including increasing the risks of heart attacks, strokes and blood clots, research says.

Experts at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pennsylvania, found in February that trans patients taking the drugs are up to seven times more likely to have an ischemic stroke than trans patients not prescribed them.

But Tyson said he was “really so happy” to have been able to teach people “what HRT is and how it can and has helped so many people.”

“I was super nervous about being out in public about this because I’ve always been so private when it comes down to it, but it’s great to see conversations started by me,” added Tyson.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, showed his support for his co-star by replying “Gotchu” to one of Tyson’s tweets.

MrBeast rose to prominence when he donated thousands of dollars to small Twitch users and YouTubers.

Inspired by the Roald Dahl classic Charlie and the Chocolate factory, the multimillionaire gave away $500,000 to a supporter in June.

He also gained major media appeal and attention for his real-life take on the Netflix series Squid Game, in which the content creator recruited applicants to play real-life games.

Last month, MrBeast was criticized online for tipping a young waitress a new car with logos — with several criticizing the gesture as a blatant publicity grab for his new chocolate venture.

The unorthodox tip was featured in a TikTok video posted on March 27 and serves as the latest in a series of wild, lavish gifts handed out by the popular YouTuber.

In the 42-second clip, MrBeast can be seen sitting in a nondescript restaurant talking to his server.

Accompanied by a cameraman, Donaldson asks the server about the biggest tip she’s ever received. When she replies $50, he hands her the keys to a black Toyota Corolla parked outside – which he billed as her “brand new car.”

The video then cuts to Donaldson, 24, leading the young girl to her new fare – with the restaurant worker clearly awed by the gesture.

However, the video received mixed reception, with many pointing out that the car was filled with advertisements and the server couldn’t actually drive. Straight from the factory, the car would normally cost at least $21,500 per Kelley Blue Book.
