MrBeast is accused of scamming competition winner out of Minecraft’s Got Talent jackpot

MrBeast is accused of defrauding a contest winner by not paying out her winnings after four years.

Content creator and musician Lauren Vi Pham claims the YouTube star, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, still owes the award for winning MrBeast and Clay’s (known online as Dream) collaborative video Minecraft’s Got Talent in 2020.

She performed her single ‘I’m a Simp’ on the online platform and surprised MrBeast, Dream and YouTuber Alex ‘Quackcity’ Maldonado.

She said she would win $2,000 for her efforts, but so far she has only received a portion of her earnings.

“Out of the three judges, only Quackcity gave me their half of the prize,” Vi Pham wrote in a recent Reddit thread, according to the Mirror. ‘Mr. Beast and Don’t Dream.’

After a few months, Vi Pham started an online petition to get her well-deserved earnings.

She wrote at the time that the competition took place just two weeks after her father had died and that her family was struggling financially because she was still in school.

“My father always wanted me to be something great – and if I could help my family and achieve that, it would mean the world to me,” Vi Pham wrote in the petition at the time.

“The prize would give me the money to make this dream come true,” she added.

“And lastly, I feel like I deserve it! Not in an arrogant way – I just worked really hard for everything.”

Vi Pham says she has contacted the organizers of the online talent show, but that “absolutely nothing” has come of it.

She said in her recent Reddit thread that she “just accepted it and appreciated the kindness and the opportunity,” convincing herself that MrBeast was too “busy helping people who really needed it” to give her the money she deserved.

But Vi Pham said she felt empowered to speak out again on the matter now that the YouTube star has been accused of racism and sexism.

In one of the videos, which X users claim were recorded in 2017, MrBeast — who has more than 300 million subscribers on YouTube and a net worth of $700 million — responds to comments from fans that appear to be about selling black people.

The other features a clip from his appearance on the racy podcast Hot Wet Soup, in which he apparently asks the show’s hosts if they would like to have sex with the “Cash Me Ousside girl,” now better known as Bhad Bhabie.

The rapper was about 14 years old at the time of the interview, which means Donaldson was about 19 years old.

“After seeing all the allegations, I feel a strong urge to be heard as well because I feel like this is my only chance,” Vi Pham wrote — noting that MrBeast reportedly only “owes” her $1,000, while Dream owes her $1.

According to the Mirror, some Reddit users in the thread have expressed their support for Vi Pham.

“Oh my god, the first claim against MrBeast that I actually support!” someone responded. “I hope you get that thousand dollars.”

Another said he hopes more people “come forward and speak out against this gentleman fraud and fake.”

The allegations come after the YouTuber admitted on Wednesday that he used “inappropriate language” online in his early days.

“When Jimmy was a teenager he acted like many other children and used inappropriate language while trying to be funny,” a spokesperson said told the Associated Press.

‘Over the years, he has apologized repeatedly and has learned that with greater influence comes greater responsibility to be more aware and sensitive to the power of language.

“After making some bad jokes and other mistakes as a youngster, as an adult he has focused on working with the MrBeast community to make a positive impact on the world together,” the spokesperson added.

DailyMail.com has also contacted MrBeast for comment on Vi Pham’s allegations.
