Popular influencer MrBeast, who has more than 151 million subscribers on YouTube, has been slowly buying up real estate in a leafy neighborhood in the southeastern suburbs of Greenville, North Carolina.
MrBeast, 25, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has become known for his philanthropic work and addictive YouTube videos.
His videos have been viewed more than 40 billion times making him a multi-millionaire, with some estimates putting his net worth at $105 million.
MrBeast’s reputation on YouTube videos includes expensive stunts, but it clearly resonates with viewers. His YouTube channel is the fourth most subscribed on the platform.
Despite being a millionaire many times over, Beast has bought five modest houses on a cul-de-sac that is by no means a millionaire.
The house is close to the area where he grew up, and the first property he bought cost $318,000.

The first house Beast bought was in 2018 for $318,000. The house was built in 2001, but he already lived in the property.
The two-story, four-bedroom, four-bath home spans approximately 3,000 square feet and came complete with granite countertops, a breakfast bar, a family room with a gas fireplace, and a master suite with an ensuite bath outfitted with a double vanity, whirlpool tub. bath and shower.
The second level consists of three additional bedrooms, a laundry room and a guest bedroom.
The property also has a screened in back porch, patio, basketball court and separate building for storage.

Thea Booysen recently opened up about the ups and downs of dating the famous YouTuber
She admitted that their relationship is “super terrifying” because of the amount of negative attention she receives from his fans
After his initial purchase, Beast gradually acquired the remaining neighboring homes for his family and employees, each time paying above market value for each property.
Beast would live in the house he bought with girlfriend Thea Booysen.
Thea, a writer and Twitch streamer, recently opened up about the huge amount of attention she’s been getting due to the romance during a recent appearance on the Fully awake podcast, and she admitted that many of her boyfriend’s supporters have accused her of being a “gold digger” and fear she will end up hurting him.
The couple met last year after the two were introduced to each other by a mutual friend during a trip to South Africa.
The homes Beast picked up were off the list and bought off the market, but it is believed he acquired three more homes for a cost of $1.45 million.
One house is still a remnant, and the owners remain put because their children attend school in a highly regarded local school district.
“It’s my understanding that the people who keep it up are similar to any reason anyone would have kept it up — they’re the best school districts in the area, and they’ve got kids in school,” Aaron Bowden, who sold his home last year Beast sold for years, the New York Post.
“I wouldn’t really know anything because I’m not in their shoes, but they might change their minds when their kids get out of high school and go to college,” he suggested.

Jimmy Donaldson – aka MrBeast – is already the world’s richest YouTuber, with an estimated net worth of over $105 million
Bowden revealed how when he sold his money to Beast, he involved direct negotiations with him.
Other neighbors who sold their homes included some who had recently moved to the area – but each had their own unique reasons for selling.
Beast has been mixing good work with humor since he started making YouTube videos a decade ago. He will show videos of volunteers cleaning beaches or oceans, in addition to videos exploring whether 50,000 magnets can catch a cannonball (spoiler alert: no) or mimic a non-lethal “Squid Game.”
Its main audience is between the ages of 14 and 20 and they learn how to have fun while helping.
Beast’s rise to become one of the top YouTube personalities was fueled by his decision to invest in himself. At first, he described himself as “this clumsy guy with a bunch of acne that nobody cared about.” I had no money, but I just kept going.’
Ten years ago, users had to pull thousands of views per month to make money on YouTube, and Beast was turned down by the platform for years, until he was about 16. Then, he says, it was game over.
His success is based on extravagant stunts that set him apart from his rivals
“From literally when I started making money at 16 to now, I’ve reinvested everything I made. One dollar a day turned into two, then three. And then I ended up making $10,000 a month, then $100,000 a month, then $1 million a month,” he says.
“I just want to make the best YouTube videos possible. I don’t really care about living in a country house or driving a Lamborghini,” he adds. “I live to create content and I want to entertain people.”
He has developed some rules for success along the way. “When it comes to going viral, the ultimate key is to give people something they can’t find anywhere else,” he says.
“There are crazy things you can do that take effort but don’t require a lot of money. Everyone can make an effort. You just do something that hasn’t been done yet and you go all out.’
He and his team rely on a revenue system that rewards views. YouTube places ads on videos on its platform and shares half of the revenue with the creators.
Beast says his videos average between 40 million and 100 million views, and a 15-minute MrBeast video could mean three or four ads embedded in each video.
Ad revenue may not be much with each view, but at a volume like that, it adds up. The money generated is then plowed back into his operation.
