Move over, chef Brooklyn! Now David Beckham shows off his culinary skills as he makes the family roast dinner in his £50k BBQ tent – but Victoria sticks to a bowl of low-calorie mussels

His son is an aspiring chef who often shares his culinary creations on social media.

Still, David Beckham proved Brooklyn wasn’t the only cook in the family when he gave fans a glimpse into his skills as he whipped up a roast dinner.

In scenes for his Netflix docuseries BECKHAM, the former footballer, 48, revealed he spends every weekend in his £50,000 barbecue joint, which features a 12-seater table and a barbecue next to a huge grill.

Under the watchful eye of Chef Brooklyn, David was filmed frying mushrooms and cooking a roast dinner, and even making a separate meal for his wife Victoria.

Walking around his massive cooking space, designed by his friend Guy Ritchie’s company WildKitchen, he revealed: ‘On Saturday mornings I just wander around here, it’s my escape.’

He confessed: I’m here from 11 to 9/10 at night, sometimes later, just grilling! That’s all I do, I take my iPad, watch the football…’

The camera then cut to David looking at his roast chicken in the oven, while Brooklyn – beer in hand – leaned over to inspect the food.

As the 24-year-old former photographer checked: ‘Did you put thyme in it too?’ David teased in response, “yes chef!”

The camera then cut to David sharing his pride about his four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12.

Discussing his and Victoria’s parenting style, he mused: ‘We’ve tried to give our children as normal an upbringing as possible, but it’s hard when you’ve got a dad who’s a former England captain and your mum is Posh Spice!

“They may be little bastards, but they’re not. I’m so proud of my kids and so impressed with my kids and the way you’ve turned out.”

As David continued to check on the food in the BBQ tent, Cruz revealed that David wakes up at 6 a.m. to light the fire before Harper came in and asked to taste some of the chicken.

As the family and Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, sat at the dinner table, David called his wife to pick up her meal: a bowl of high-protein, low-fat, low-calorie mussels.

David’s £50,000 tent was created by Hollywood director Guy, a barbecue obsessive, who previously admitted to owning more than 30 grills.

The Gentlemen director previously said that the Wildtable is a “brand new way of cooking, gathering and eating” and that it works by burning charcoal or wood under a glass lid in the center, with the smoke vented through a chimney flue.

Prices range from £2,500 for a four-seater to £50,000 for a twelve-seater in a dining tent kitchen.

The Beckhams also gave fans a glimpse at their £12million Cotswolds home during the docuseries.

The couple bought their country retreat in December 2016 for a reported £6.15 million.

Following improvements by the Beckhams, the property boasts a sauna, plunge pool, football pitch, gym, swimming pool and a £50,000 safari tent on site for entertainment, and is now believed to be worth around £12 million.

In the new documentary, viewers got a look inside the Soho Farmhouse-inspired retreat, which was designed with hardwood floors and exposed brick walls.

David also showed off his impeccably organized wardrobe as he spoke about his ‘obsession’ with keeping things in order.
