Nine people have been rushed to hospital following a four-car crash on a major Queensland highway.
Queensland fire and emergency services were called to the mass crash on Heritage Drive and Beaudesert Nerang Road near Mount Nathan in the Gold Coast hinterland at 10.16 am on Saturday.
Horror footage of the crash shows the four damaged cars scattered across the highway.

Other vehicles stopped to help the passengers of the damaged cars and assess the crime scene.
Multiple paramedics assessed the patients at the scene before taking them to Gold Coast University Hospital.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said eight of the patients were being transported in a stable condition, with one in a serious but stable condition.
The police of Gouda was also on site to regulate traffic.
