Baby airlifted to hospital and fighting for life after suffering a fall while being pushed in a pram

A baby is in a critical condition in hospital after being injured following a fall in a pram.

It is believed the child fell from a height while still in the stroller on Mount Compass, 60 km south of it AdelaideWednesday around 3 p.m.

The baby is believed to be less than a year old and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after emergency services arrived on the scene following frantic triple-0 calls.

Family members are currently keeping a bedside vigil at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, the newspaper reported Adelaide Advertiser.

Witnesses, including family members, reported seeing the baby, whose gender was not revealed, sustain serious injuries during the fall.

Paramedics, specialists MedStar doctors and CVS officers worked for hours to stabilize the baby before airlifting him to the hospital.

It is believed the incident was an accident without suspicious circumstances.
