Mother who lost two sons in tragic circumstances fears she is ‘cursed’ as her daughter and last surviving child mysteriously vanishes and her car is found abandoned in state forest

A New Jersey mother devastated by the untimely deaths of her two sons fears for the well-being of her third child and only daughter after going missing ‘under suspicious circumstances’.

Danielle Lopez, 37, of Burlington, New Jersey, has not been seen or heard from since April 13 when she was spotted at a Wawa supermarket in Vincetown, New Jersey.

Lopez, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 135 pounds, disappeared shortly after telling her family she planned to go camping.

There is cause for concern after her two-door blue 2008 Hyundai Accent was found abandoned on Lost Lane Road in Penn State Forest, a sprawling 3,366-acre state park.

Her mother, Sue Quackenbush, 63, who is originally from Eatontown, New Jersey but now lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania, believes her daughter may not return and even wrote about her in the past tense.

“Unbelievably, tragedy has struck our family once again,” Quackenbush wrote on Facebook. ‘Danielle was sweet, creative and loving. She was a wonderful daughter and a vibrant light in my life.”

She said police told her Danielle’s disappearance was “suspicious.”

New Jersey State Police have not provided any further information about the investigation other than stating how they are “seeking assistance” from the public.

The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit and the Human Trafficking Unit are both assisting in the search.

“The reason I used the past tense of my daughter in my statement is because the police have reason to believe that harm happened to her,” Quackenbush said. Fox news.

Lopez told her family she planned to go camping in Wharton State Forest, which covers more than 124,000 acres across three counties, but there has been no trace of her since.

“I went to where her car was found, I went to the campground, I’ve been looking for about six weeks now,” Quackenbush explained.

She noted that in her daughter’s last photo, shown on the surveillance camera as she left the Wawa store, she did not appear to be in any danger.

‘She walks out of the store smiling. She looks neat, has her bag. She functions,” Quackenbush explained.

“God is working in this and I am blessed to have been their mother all this time. Some mothers do not hold their children for very long, and there are mothers who harm their children. So I’m going to say I’m blessed,” Quackenbush said.

“I just need a miracle and everyone’s prayers and wishes.”

Eric and Danielle’s father, Guy and Quackenbush’s ex-husband, suffered a heart attack and died in June 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, while his father Fred Lopez Sr. also died of COVID in May of that year.

“It’s a pretty tough reality,” Quackenbush’s brother, Fred Lopez, 58, told the New York Post.

“Danielle has had a very difficult life and never fully recovered from all the deaths and tragedies in our family.

“Every member of my family has experienced tragedy. I think maybe my family is cursed,” Lopez said.
