Mother watches in horror after bedroom camera catches stranger breaking into her bed and going to sleep – but police claim there was no crime

This is the moment a security camera caught an intruder breaking into a young mother’s home in Scotland, leaving her shocked as he slept in her bed.
Terrified, Caitlin Sullivan, 22, was at her friend’s house when the camera in her bedroom started buzzing, she said.
She watched the footage but was shocked to see the mystery sleeper climbing into the bed she shares with her baby for a nap.
After seeing the nap at 7:45 a.m. on August 29, the part-time caregiver immediately called the police and met them at her home.
The mystery sleeper was taken away, but Miss Sullivan claims he was never arrested.

The intruder – who left the house covered in blood – sent a bizarre message to Caitlin on Facebook the next day, thanking her for letting him sleep, as well as an apology, she said.
She said she has only since returned home to clean because she is terrified of him coming back.
Miss Sullivan, from Sauchie, Clackmannanshire, said: ‘I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was so shocked; I didn’t know who he was.
‘I couldn’t believe there was a man in my bed. I don’t understand how he got into my house.
‘I haven’t stayed in the house since. I never want to go back to that house.
“It’s the fact that both me and my son sleep in that bed. If I had been there, he probably would have climbed into bed with me and slept next to me.’
A day later, Miss Sullivan says she received a bizarre Facebook message from him apologizing.
The message read: ‘To offer my sincerest apologies, I am not well.
“Thank you for letting me rest my head for three hours, I hope no harm was done.”
He ended his message with “I hope to meet you someday.”
Ms Sullivan said she doesn’t understand how the man found her name and wants to move because she is too scared to go home.
The man later messaged her: “Thanks for letting me rest my head for three hours, I hope no harm was done.”

She said: ‘I called the police and they told me to block him.
‘Who says he won’t come back? He wasn’t punished for it, so maybe he’ll do it again.
‘I’m afraid to stay in my house now because of my son.
‘My neighbors said the man tried to get into my house the night before around 10pm – he was seen screaming and shouting.’
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ‘At around 9am on Tuesday, August 29, officers were called to a report of someone at a house at Rosebank, Sauchie.
“Officers attended and after gaining access to the property they spoke to the person inside.
‘No criminal offense has been established and the complainant has been spoken to. Police have not received any further complaints or reports regarding this incident.”
