Footage has captured the moment when a mother cried tears of joy after her paralyzed son was taken to a brothel after not feeling touch from a woman for 12 years.
Gail and her son Jake visited Le Penthouse Suites in Tweed Heads, NSW, while filming a video with famous fisherman Willem Powerfish.
The subject of Jake’s sex life had come up during a conversation when the group had been on a fishing trip a while earlier.
“I asked Jake’s mom about his girlfriends and she told me he hadn’t been with anyone since his accident,” Powerfish explained.
“So I talked to his mother about taking him to the brothel.”
Jake’s life changed dramatically after he was involved in a horrific crash where the young man was confined to a wheelchair and could only control his mouth and thumbs.
The trio, along with Jake’s caretaker and best friend, were on Jake’s first fishing trip in twelve years when his mother made the heartbreaking confession about his love life.

Powerfish decided to cut the fishing trip short and instead offered to take Jake to a nearby brothel.
“You can decide whether you like the woman or not. If you don’t like it you don’t have to, but I’m very happy to call you a session,’ he told Jake.
Footage shows Jakes entering the brothel as his mother comments on how “happy” he looked and thanked Powerfish.
Gail later burst into tears when she remembered what the woman said after Jake’s session.
“She said she did a few things and then it was really stiff, so she got on top of it and he did the whole thing,” she said.
“Thank you very much (Powerfish).”
Le Penthouse Suites bills itself as the ‘premium brothel on the Gold Coast’ offering ‘the most luxurious and erotic sexual experiences’.
The venue features a ‘punishment room’ and ‘The Manhattan Club Strip Club’.
Powerfish later explained his conversation with Gail about taking Jake to a brothel where she had admitted they never discussed it.
“I asked Gail, you know, did you take him to one of those places and she said no,” he said.
“She hadn’t talked about it in twelve years.”

After visiting the brothel, Gail said, “I hope some people realize that even though we have brain injuries or disabilities, we still have needs” (pictured, Jake)

“I hope it gets to some people that even though we have brain injuries or disabilities, we still have needs,” she said.
Jake’s friend, Kyle, remembered how the tragic car accident unfolded.
“The night Jake got hurt, he called me about 2:30 a.m. and said, ‘I’ll be over,'” he said.
It was New Year’s Eve, 2012, and I said, “No, we’re already in bed and you can’t drive.”
“I think someone found him on the side of the road an hour or two later and had hit a utility pole.
“I try to tell everyone he’s still the same guy. He might run around and do the same thing we do, but he can still laugh about it, you know?’

Before his internet fame, Powerfish worked in the disability sector and saw firsthand how families often struggle to broach the subject of sexuality.
“I used to work in disability care and one of our patients had cerebral palsy and we took him to the brothel,” he said.
“I hope that people who see this and who have family members with any kind of disability… We are all human and we all have needs.”
