Mother ‘stabbed her two-year-old daughter to death while reciting the alphabet then ATE her liver’ 

A mother has been accused of stabbing her two-year-old daughter to death before eating her liver in a gruesome case that has shocked Kenya.

Olivia Naserian, 24, appeared in court today on charges of killing young Glory Njeri before cutting open her body and eating parts of her organs.

Neighbors who witnessed the gruesome attack through a window say they saw the crazed mother stab her daughter multiple times as she sang hymns and recited the alphabet, according to local reports.

The locals of the residential area quickly alerted the authorities and the police arrived to arrest the woman on suspicion of murder.

Naserian appeared before a Kajiado court on Wednesday, where she was ordered by the chief magistrate to remain in police custody for another ten days as police continue their investigation into the girl’s murder.

The woman is expected to appear for a new hearing on May 8.

Local reports say Naserian attacked her daughter on April 23 at their home on a residential area in Kitengela, about 20 miles south of Kenya’s capital Nairobi.

Shocked witnesses say they watched in horror as the woman stabbed her own daughter to death with a knife before dismembering her body.

According to reports, neighbors then saw him eating parts of the girl’s internal organs, in Kitengela’s Milimani Estate.

This is reported by the Kenyan newspaper The starlocals rushed to the family’s house when they heard the girl screaming – initially suspected criminals had attacked.

However, once there, the publications said they found the mother naked and violently assaulted her daughter while singing nursery rhymes.

The neighbors unsuccessfully tried to break the door open in time to save the girl, with one of them filming the gruesome attack.

When they finally managed to break into the house, the toddler was already dead and the mother was lying on the floor, The Star reports.

Local residents told the newspaper that the young mother’s parents – who also live in the house – were not at home at the time of the attack.

Speak against The standard – a Kenyan newspaper – a neighbor said they heard the mother sing: ‘You will never cry again my baby…you will sleep forever. I love my daughter.’

They said they remembered the baby’s horrifying scream when she was attacked.

“The woman ate her baby’s liver while we watched. She also removed other internal organs, such as the intestines and heart, before she passed out,” the traumatized neighbor told the newspaper.

The young girl’s mutilated body was taken for a post-mortem at the Kitengela Hospital morgue.

Benson Mutia, head of the Kitengela Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), said: ‘We believe the court will give us more time to investigate this case.

She added that investigators want to determine whether the woman had any mental health problems.

“What she did to her own baby is inexplicable,” Mutia said.

Naserian’s aunt told Nairobi wire that her niece had exhibited bizarre behavior before the attack on the young girl.

Gladys Wanjiku said the 24-year-old had recently returned from Kirinyaga, where she had lived with her boyfriend for about eight months.

After initially coming home and being happy, Wanjiku said to the Sunday after her return, Naserian started screaming and speaking in tongues.

She also broke kitchen utensils, windows and the TV before the murder.

‘Something is very wrong. We weren’t there, but the reports we’re getting from our neighbors is that Naserian started talking in tongues and chasing the only dog ​​in the house hours before she descended on her child,” the aunt told Nairobi Wire.
