The mother of missing X Factor star Levi Davis has said she is ‘running out of what to believe’ and has accused Spanish police of being ‘sluggish’.

Levi, a talented rugby player and former X Factor contestant, was last seen alive at the Hard Rock Cafe in Barcelona on October 29 last year.

His mother Julie Davis, who believes her son was being blackmailed and his life was in danger, visited the city for a week last Sunday to follow in her son’s footsteps.

Police informed Julie that four cruise ship employees saw a person lying in the water, screaming for help in English and wearing a pale T-shirt – as Levi had been – eight hours after he was last seen on CCTV .

A life preserver was thrown at the person, but a later search by the Coast Guard and police found no trace of the missing man.

Levi, who would have celebrated his 25th birthday last month, went on the X Factor in 2019 as part of the group Try Star with rugby players Thom Evans and Ben Foden.

The singer signed a record deal and began to record music.
