Mother, 33, disappears after failing to board cruise ship in San Francisco

A Utah mother goes missing after failing to board her cruise ship in San Francisco on Monday night.

Alaina Marie Adams, 33, disappeared before boarding the Celebrity Solstice cruise in San Francisco on Sunday, which was scheduled to depart Monday from Pier 27.

It remains unclear whether the 33-year-old had already boarded the 7-day cruise ship from its original destination in Los Angeles or was boarding the cruise from San Francisco.

Police said they received a call from an unknown caller around 6 p.m., an hour after the cruise was scheduled to leave port, saying the woman was missing.

A photo released by police shows Adams sitting with what appear to be headphones and her backpack strapped to the front of her body. But the police do not yet know where the security photo was taken.

Her last location in the Bay Area city is “unknown,” and despite the suspicious circumstances, police said there is “no evidence of foul play.”

According to Adams’ social media, she appears to have at least one daughter, but it remains unclear if she was with her at the time of her disappearance.

In a tweet sent out Tuesday night, San Francisco police asked the public for help locating the missing mother.

Adams, who identifies himself on Facebook as a resident of Midvale, Utah, was reportedly on a Celebrity Cruise ship that had an overnight stay in the Bay Area.

It is unclear who she was with at the time and who reported her missing, although police described the caller as a woman.

DailyMail.com has reached out to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) for more information, but did not receive an immediate response.

According to the port, the cruise was scheduled to depart from Pier 27 of the city at 5 p.m. schemeand Adams never made it to the ship.

“At this time, there are no known (imminent) risk factors associated with Adams and there is no evidence of foul play,” the police wrote.
