Mortal Kombat 1 Halloween Fatality

Mortal Kombat 1 will soon receive a Halloween-themed Fatality, but it will only be available via purchase from the Premium Store, and fans are not happy.

A plate reportsthe existence of the Halloween Fatality was first revealed in the recent version 0.134 update, which casually stated, “Halloween Fatality added to the Premium Store.”

At the time of writing, the Fatality itself is not currently appearing in stores at all – in a recent tweetWB Games Support said it will come at a “later date”, which is currently expected to be Friday, October 27. However, it’s not this that’s proving to be an issue among players – it’s the fact that it’s behind a paywall. .

“The way we paid $70/80/120 for this game to have less free content (than) MK11 sends me. Paying for new fatalities and voting packages is a new low,” said Twitter user @Noir_is_black wrote.

User @_Addy_TT is also frustrated. In response to WB Games, she tweeted: “Buy fatalities in a Deadly battle game!? I spent £85 on this premium version of the game and the content is really lacking and you have the audacity to charge for basic things that should be in the game at launch.”

A similar sentiment was echoed by @BeykandaForever, who Posted: “Deadly battle has become one of the best examples of monetization ruining video games.”

Naturally, Deadly battle is no stranger to microtransactions. Speaking of fatalities, in 2015 Mortal Kombat x allowed players to purchase consumable ‘Easy Fatalities’ with real money, making the brutal finishing moves much easier to pull off (although it’s worth noting that it was also possible to collect some of these for free).

Still, the Halloween Fatality did not go down well. It is currently unknown how much it will cost, but we will surely find out sooner or later as it will be available in stores soon.
