A young man has drowned while swimming on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
The 24-year-old drowned after falling into the water from Rye Pier at around 2.45pm.
At 3:15 p.m., emergency services found him in the water, but he died at the scene.
The police will prepare a report for the coroner.
