Pam Dawber and Mark Harmon were rarely spotted together at a vintage flea market in Santa Monica, California.

The couple, who married in 1987, enjoyed some quality time together on Sunday as they went hunting for unique finds.

Pam wore high-waisted jeans, a white blouse and sneakers. The Mork & Mindy star carried an over-the-shoulder bag and donned a straw hat to cover her short gray hair.

Mark opted to keep it casual: dark blue shorts, a white polo shirt, flip-flops and a sun visor.

The Life… and Stuff actress and the NCIS star have been married for 37 years and have two sons: Sean, 36, and Ty, 32.

In 2016, Pam revealed why she turned her back on Hollywood after having children.

“I don’t think two people can work in show business all the time and stay married,” the 72-year-old admitted Entertainment tonight.

Reflecting on the legendary comedy series Mork & Mindy, in which she starred opposite the late Robin Williams, Pam added, “I was on a number one show.”

“I had my own deal,” she continued. “I got to do Broadway. I got to do musical theater. I got to do cartoon voices. I did everything you can do in this business, and then I had kids and I thought, ‘I’m not going to chase fame.'”

Pam was last a series regular in 1998, when she provided the voice of Perdy in the animated series 101 Dalmatians: The Series.

After starring in the 1999 TV movie Don’t Look Behind You, the Trail of Tears actress retired for good.

“I wanted to take my kids to school,” Pam told the outlet. “I wanted to be there for their birthdays and bring cupcakes and donuts and do the school festivals and stuff like that, and I did that. I got to teach their art class and so it was a different life then and I was really happy that I was able to do it.”

The icon also felt it was important to keep her family’s private life out of the tabloids.

“You don’t see us in the magazines,” she said. “When you’re married, that’s real life. And to go and plaster your kids… Sorry. I’m not for that.”

Pam even admitted at the time that her sons had not looked at her work, something she has no problem with at all.

“I’m just their mother,” she said. “They don’t care what I’ve done. They care what they do. They want their parents to care about what they do. Their father is iconic enough for two boys. I’m just the mother.”

Fifteen years later, however, Pam returned to television on a limited basis.

Pam worked with her former co-star Robin on his 2014 series The Crazy Ones and reflected on how she was persuaded to join the sitcom by her good friend.

“I hadn’t seen Robin in 20 years,” she told ET. “I did that episode because I wanted to be with Robin. I wanted to see Robin. That was a gift. That was such a gift.”

In 2016, she also guest-starred on The Odd Couple, a tribute to the late Garry Marshall, who gave the comedians their debut on Mork & Mindy.

“Garry influenced all of our lives,” the mother of two acknowledged. “Garry put us all on the map and we all had careers because of Garry. We were really just about Garry’s big star.”

And recently, in 2021, Pam collaborated with her husband on seven episodes of NCIS.

The former Dream On host spoke at the time about her role as Marcie Warren, who is described in the series as “a seasoned investigative journalist who uses her sharp wit and down-to-earth social skills in her tireless pursuit of the truth.”

“Believe me, I’ve answered a lot of questions about that within my own group of friends,” Pam said. Entertainment weekly about the fact that I was facing Mark. ‘I thought, no, this is not going to be romantic.’

Yet it took a long time for Pam to experience this.

“The show has been on for a hundred years and they’ve hassled me a couple of times,” she said. “Or I just didn’t want to do it or I didn’t appreciate what they wanted me to do. Or it was almost Christmas and it was like, ‘I can’t do this. My parents are coming to town.’ I just didn’t feel like, you know, pursuing the business.”

Pam added: ‘At this age, that’s what you do. You really have to want it. I just don’t want to expose myself anymore.’

She recalled the script:

She recalled the script: ‘The character is so good. I just fell in love with what they wrote. And then I had fear, like, “Oh my God, am I going to do this?”‘

This time, things turned out differently after Pam’s agent emailed her about the role.

“I think they created this character Marcie,” she continued. “Mark didn’t tell me anything about it. Suddenly I got an email from my agent and I thought, ‘Oh, poor Harry, my poor agent, here we go again. I’m going to turn him down.’ And he said, ‘Well, you might want to read this.’

“I think they were coming up with names of who they could bring in and Mark said, ‘You should talk to my wife about this character,'” Pam recalled. “The character is so good. I just fell in love with what they were writing. And then I got this anxiety, like, ‘Oh my God, am I going to do this?'”

And she did, with her life partner at her side.

“My husband is so supportive,” Pam cheered. “He’s just a great, giving guy. He just gives me attagirls, you know? It’s fun because Gibbs is a big talker. He doesn’t give a lot. So they’re neck and neck. He frustrates Marcie so much. So they have this weird relationship where they’re checking each other out. She doesn’t understand if he’s a truth-teller. Is this guy for real? And he kind of feels the same way about her.”

And is Marcie’s storyline finally over? As Pam put it, “I’m not sure it’s over!”
