Morgan Wallen’s country singer pal Ernest pokes fun at the hitmaker’s arrest for throwing a CHAIR from six-floor Nashville bar that landed just three feet from police

Morgan Wallen could potentially face some serious jail time after his most recent drunken escapades and subsequent arrest, but his friend Ernest found plenty to laugh about.

Ernest Keith Smith, a country singer who performs only under his first name, shared a video of himself on Instagram on Monday poking fun at the 30-year-old superstar’s latest brush with the law.

He joked about the “chair” Wallen threw from the sixth floor of a downtown Nashville bar, which reportedly landed on the ground just feet from police.

Wallen was arrested shortly afterwards on Sunday evening, and the lawyer said on Monday that he is ‘fully cooperating with authorities’.

In Ernest’s video from Monday, he filmed himself in the driver’s seat while driving, captioning the clip: “Alexa, play ‘The Chair’ by George Strait.”

Morgan Wallen’s boyfriend, country singer Ernest, on Sunday joked about his arrest for throwing a chair out of a Nashville bar by jokingly asking Alexa to play George Strait’s “The Chair.”

Wallen, 30, was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct, with officers claiming the chair landed three feet away from them; seen in his April 8 mugshot

Although the caption appeared to be a joke about Wallen’s recent chair-throwing incident, Ernest also made fun of his friend in the text written over the video.

“When Morgan asks me if I want to go to Broadway…” he wrote, remaining stone-faced as he drove in the video.

Despite what his caption said, the video was shot as the soundtrack for country star Lainey Wilson’s song I Would If I Could.

Ernest had his video played over part of the pre-chorus where she sang, “I would if I could / But I can’t, so I won’t / But I want to.”

Contrary to what fans might have, the “Broadway” of his lyrics was not the Great White Way or Manhattan fame, but rather the street in downtown Nashville where Erich Church’s Chiefs bar, the place where Wallen coming from the chair is located. .

Ernest’s video showed how he hilariously declined an invitation to a party evening that ended with Wallen’s arrest.

Earlier on Monday, DailyMail.com revealed that Wallen launched his chair from the bar’s sixth floor after learning that his ex-fiancée had recently eloped, bringing along the toddler they share.

Wallen was released on bail by a Metropolitan Nashville Police Department after he hurled the chair from the Chiefs Bar on Sunday just after 10:45 p.m.

“When Morgan asks me if I want to go to Broadway…” Ernest also wrote as a Lainey Wilson song replied. The bar where Wallen was arrested is located on Broadway in Nashville

Wallen also proposed to Smith, and the couple dated from December 2016 to November 2019. They welcomed a son Indigo in 2020.

Wallen faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of the charges, and no less than one year.

It is not his first brush with the law. Wallen was infamously arrested in May 2020 for disorderly conduct at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk bar in downtown Nashville.

The country music star was also previously arrested at the lower Broadway bar for public intoxication.

He was taken into custody outside Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk and Steakhouse after allegedly kicking several glass objects, according to a Metro Nashville Police Department affidavit.

An officer saw security guards kick Wallen out of the bar because he was disorderly inside.

According to the affidavit, Wallen was given several opportunities by police to run away with his friends, but he declined. He was also charged with driving under the influence in 2016, but the case was dismissed.
