‘Have a great one Morgan!’: one of the testimonies of praise came from none other than Michael Douglas, his co-star in the Netflix sitcom The Kominsky Method
Morgan, meanwhile, appeared on the show as herself, as did a stellar roster of guest stars including Jay Leno, Jon Cryer, Patti LaBelle, and Allison Janney.
The series was created by Chuck Lorre, the TV genius behind hit sitcoms like Two And A Half Men and The Big Bang Theory.
Ten years ago, Michael and Morgan also starred in a comedy called Last Vegas, which also starred Robert De Niro, Kevin Kline, and Mary Steenburgen.
The four male stars played a group of older men heading to Las Vegas to celebrate one of their bachelorette parties.
Mary, meanwhile, played an elderly lounge singer at the Aria hotel who is dragged into their parties over the course of the men’s journey.
Even at 86 years old, Morgan has a string of projects in the pipeline, including a time travel thriller called 57 Seconds starring Josh Hutcherson.
He has also been cast in Sniff, a film noir about a retirement home, with a top roster of co-stars including Al Pacino, Helen Mirren and Danny DeVito.
They are directed by Helen’s husband Taylor Hackford, whose critically acclaimed previous films include An Officer And A Gentleman.

Morgan is also part of the ensemble of Special Ops: Lioness, a Paramount+ spy thriller show from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.
Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana join Morgan in a cast that also features Britney Spears’ beefcake husband Sam Asghari.
In a recent interview with London’s Sunday TimesMorgan reflected on the way his career has changed with his age and rising fame.
‘When my career in film started, I wanted to be a chameleon. I remember De Niro playing very different roles early on. Almost unrecognizable as the same actor. I’ve had such opportunities,” he recalls.
“But when you mature in this industry, eventually you become a star. Then you’re pretty screwed if you refer to yourself as a character actor. You often play the same kind of role – people hire you and say, “You want me.” And you live with it.’
He offered the sorrowful reflection, “I don’t think I’ve done much in the past ten years that was much different.” Driving Miss Daisy and Glory were different. Now? It’s just me. The character adapts to you rather than the other way around, so I do what piques my interest. Sometimes it’s just the money.’
