Morena Baccarin cozies up to husband Ben McKenzie at The Good House screening in NYC

The stars of the highly anticipated film The Good House were seen on Wednesday for a special screening at The Robin Williams Center in New York City.

Morena Baccarin, one of the main cast of the comedy drama, attended the event with her husband, actor Ben McKenzie, by her side.

In the film, Sigourney Weaver plays a New England real estate agent who understands all of her neighbors’ problems while denying her own. The Hollywood Reporter.

Ahead of the show, Baccarin, 43, stepped out for her red carpet moment decked out in a gorgeous strapless black and burgundy dress.

She accessorized with a matching bracelet and necklace combo, along with an assortment of rings and dangling earrings.

On this evening, she chose to have her raven strands pulled off her face in a sleek bun.

McKenzie, 44, looked handsome in a black patterned suit that he paired with a white shirt and black leather shoes.

He too went for the sleek look for his short dark brown hair.

Weaver, 72, who is best known for her iconic roles in the Alien film franchise, would eventually hit the red carpet in a black dress, white blazer, black sandals and her brown locks that are just shoulder length.

Directed by Maya Forbes and Wally Wolodarsky from a screenplay the duo co-wrote with Thomas Bezucha, The Good House is based on Ann Leary’s 2013 novel of the same name.

Leary, 60, attended the event in a black patterned dress along with her husband, actor and comedian Denis Leary, 65.

The film, which stars Kevin Kline opposite Weaver, had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2021.

There seemed to be trouble selling the film to a distributor, so it wasn’t picked up by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions until June 2022, which was just days before its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.

For the film, Weaver stars as Hildy Good, an alcoholic pretending to be recovering, who “makes every annoyed look, sharp dejection and derogatory excuse absolutely magnetic,” according to THR.

Kline has received much acclaim for his role as Hildy’s old high school flame Frank Getchell, who eventually reconnects with her.

Maccarin, Kelly AuCoin, Rob Delaney, and Laurie Hanley are among those portrayed as unhappily married people who are central to Hildy’s harsh martial assessments.

The cast also includes the likes of Beverly D’Angelo, David Rasche, Rebecca Henderson, Molly Brown and Kathryn Erbe, among others.

The Good House officially premiered in theaters on September 30.
