A mob of more than a hundred rowdy teens turned violent in Downtown Chicago when several set fire to and smashed cars while blaring music in a “teen trend” that left two gunshot wounds.

Shocking footage showed some teens on top of a bus, while others started a massive brawl after descending into Millennium Park on Saturday night.

Gunshots rang out, some of which struck two boys, ages 16 and 17, and cars were left wrecked near East Washington Street in the Windy City, including a Tesla costing up to $120,000.

The two youths were transported to a nearby hospital in fair condition, but no arrests were made despite officers running to the scene.

Massive street gatherings have been dubbed “teen trends,” inviting teens all over the city, according to NBC Chicago, and Saturday’s incident occurred a day after another teen, 14, was shot at another gathering near 31st Avenue Beach.

During Saturday night’s mayhem, a bystander in the driver’s seat of his car was attacked by illegitimate teens and had to be taken to hospital.

It seemed as if the police couldn’t handle the crowd and were moving innocent bystanders and tourists to safety.

“It’s heartbreaking, kids fighting, chasing each other, some of them have guns,” an unidentified witness told NBC Chicago.

“It’s really heartbreaking when one of them actually gets hurt, and that’s a shame, happened last night.”

The witness added that the police didn’t stand a chance against the mob.

“There were a lot of cops here, but they were still outnumbered,” the witness said. “So many teenagers showed up, trying to keep the peace and control.”

After the shooting, a nearby Tesla was then seen on fire.

The rowdy teens disrupted the city’s transportation system after several climbed onto a bus. They can be seen dancing as the bus stopped.

It’s unclear if anyone was on the bus, but the Chicago Transit Authority announced that trips were disrupted due to police activity.

At around 9 p.m. on Friday night, a 14-year-old boy was shot in the thigh. The authorities were informed in advance about the gathering of 300 people through Emergency Management and Communications.

Some reports stated that nearly 1,000 teens attended the “teen trend” event – though it remains unclear.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the shooting.
