A Massachusetts man charged with assault with intent to murder after six people, including four girls, were stabbed and injured in separate attacks at a movie theater has been readmitted to Bridgewater State Hospital for further evaluation.
PLYMOUTH, Massachusetts — A Massachusetts man has been charged with assault with intent to murder after six people, including four girls, were found in a movie theater stabbed and wounded in separate attackshas been re-transferred to Bridgewater State Hospital for further evaluation for criminal liability.
A judge ordered the extensive evaluation after Jared Ravizza, 26, of Chilmark, a town on Martha’s Vineyard, appeared in court in Plymouth on Monday.
An attorney representing Ravizza declined to comment.
Ravizza was charged in May in connection with the stabbing deaths of two McDonald’s employees in Plymouth.
Ravizza has also been charged with eight counts of assault in connection with the stabbings of four girls, aged between 9 and 17, at the Braintree cinema on May 25.
Authorities said the attack occurred before Ravizza drove south to Plymouth, where the fast food workers were stabbed.
A hearing on the dangerousness has been postponed until next week.
