His family owns the Lai Lai, and he bravely beat Tren and took his gun, allowing police to identify the suspect.
Tsay said it was “primal instinct” that took over and made him attack the gunman, adding that Tran’s eyes were “menacing.”
He claimed that he was “scanning the room” for targets, but was forced to flee after Tsay and others disarmed him.

Tran is understood to have traveled to an area hospital for minor injuries, where staff recognized him and passed his details on to authorities.
Authorities tracked him down after spotting his fan in a parking lot in Torrance, more than 20 miles from where the shooting occurred.
The officers approached his white pickup truck around 10:20 a.m. Sunday and heard a single gunshot before pulling away.
Shortly after he was seen at the hospital for treatment, the police detained Tran. A SWAT team surrounded the van after a three-hour standoff.
Tran was carrying what was described as a semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine, and a second handgun was discovered in the truck where he was found dead, authorities said.

The woman said that he often scolded her if she got a dance move wrong, and that he was quick to anger.
