Montana parents who lost custody of their 14-year-old daughter to the state after refusing to let her transition reveal how she obtained sex change hormones off Amazon

The parents of a Montana teen lost custody of their daughter after refusing to hand her over.

But Todd and Krista Kolstad’s teen had other ideas and managed to get the sex change hormones through Amazon after a friend helped her order them.

The 14-year-old, born Jennifer but now identifying as Leo, had the drugs sent to another 14-year-old girl’s house so her parents wouldn’t find out.

“One of her friends ordered her hormones from Amazon and had them sent to her house, not ours, and then gave them to our daughter, Jennifer. You don’t have to prove that you’re 18 or anything,” Krista Kolstad told the channel Post-millennium.

The purchased hormones were supposed to facilitate the transition from woman to man.

Montana parents Krista and Todd Kolstad lost custody of their 14-year-old daughter, Jennifer, who now identifies as Leo, after obtaining gender reassignment hormones through Amazon

“They’re for sale on Amazon and you don’t have to prove you’re 18 or anything. You can just go in and buy them,” Krista explained.

The Kolstads of Glasgow, Montana, lost custody of their daughter in January because of their opposition to state and health care measures aimed at allowing gender reassignment for their child without their consent.

“We were told that it was in her ‘therapeutic best interest’ to have Jennifer transitioned and live as a boy, and because we were unwilling to follow that recommendation, the court granted custody of Jennifer for six months,” Krista said. Reduxx.

Despite their legal battle, the couple has now been held in contempt of court for speaking out against the state’s handling of the situation.

Their child was eventually placed in the care of Child and Family Services, who have since decided to send her to live with her birth mother in Canada.

Despite facing possible arrest for discussing their case, the Kolstads remain determined to continue their fight and shed light on their predicament.

Montana Governor Greg Gianforte has called the situation “tragic,” but further investigation by Lt. Governor Kristen Juras concluded that the Montana Department of Health and Human Services and the court had “followed state policy and law.”

It was last August when Jennifer’s school called claiming she had tried to kill herself with toilet bowl cleaner and painkillers.

The teen was taken to hospital, where toxicology reports revealed no abnormalities.

While there, doctors referred to the teen by male pronouns because they “have to do what the patient tells them.”

Notes taken at the hospital consistently state that Jennifer identifies as a “male” and wanted to be called “Leo.”

Krista said she and Todd expressed their concerns to hospital staff and requested that Jennifer be called by her birth name.

“We were very clear with both the emergency room staff and (CVS) that this is contrary to our values, morals and our religious beliefs,” but hospital staff refused to listen.

“They told me to call their lawyer if I had a problem because they would do what the patient tells them.”

“I showed up one day and she was talking about top surgery and being non-binary,” Krista said.

The doctor on duty then proceeded to address her concerns. “He told me, ‘Why aren’t you more concerned about your daughter trying to harm herself and what (the assistant) is talking about?’

The teen was then told several times about “gender-affirming” care, including a double mastectomy that would leave her with a flat chest.

Ultimately, Jennifer was allowed to spend time at a treatment center to receive counseling.

She was later told she could go to the neighboring state of Wyoming, where “gender-affirming” care is available to minors without parental consent.

At that point, Children and Family Services showed up with the police and took their daughter from their care.

“They called and told us a bed opened up in Wyoming and Jennifer had to go. (The doctor) said, ‘She has to go. She’s not doing well here,’ and we were really impressed,” Krista remembers.

“No one talked to us about the name of the facility – we had no one to answer our questions. We told them we wanted our questions answered before we accepted the bed.”

A few minutes later, Children and Family Services arrived at Kolstad’s home along with police.

“They came to our home to provide us with paperwork to remove Jennifer from our care,” Krista said. “They told me the reason was because we ‘couldn’t or refused medical care.’ That’s just not true.’

“I believe this was an error in judgment by CVS, a HIPAA violation, and a miscarriage for Jennifer since she is only 14. What if, when she’s 17, this incident is over and she’s in a good situation? mentally place? This is a very small town and they let her label herself as the ‘crazy kid’ who tried to commit suicide,” Krista asks.

In September, Jennifer returned to Montana and was placed in a Youth Dynamics group home for six to nine months.

In January, a judge ordered Krista and Todd to transfer custody to CFS, which explained that their daughter would be sent to live with her birth mother, Christine, in Ontario, Canada.

“Our family has been devastated by this. We have little to no contact with Jennifer and our rights because her parents are being trampled on,” Krista said.

a GiveSendGo account was set up by Todd’s brother to raise money for the family.

“My brother and sister-in-law, who have been victims of coercive trans ideology, government and medical tyranny that resulted in the medical kidnapping of their 14 year old child in Montana facilitated by Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, MT , together with Montana CPS,” the call reads.

“They have been threatened, intimidated, mocked, their characters attacked and their custody taken away for not agreeing to the transfer of a 14-year-old child in a mental crisis. They need our help to cover mounting costs and legal fees as they fight to get their daughter back in a system that has become corrupt and weaponized against families.”

Kolstads’ case demonstrates the complex and controversial nature of issues surrounding gender transitions for minors and the varying legal landscapes in different states.

Their story is the latest in a broader discussion surrounding the growing phenomenon of young people identifying as transgender or non-binary.

The increase in minors undergoing gender-related changes has sparked debates across the country about the ethics of such procedures for young people who may still be going through puberty.

Republican-led states have introduced legislation opposing gender reassignment procedures for minors, while Democratic-led states have declared themselves “sanctuaries” for minors seeking gender reassignment – even without parental consent.
