Shocking footage captured a crocodile climbing over a fence at a wildlife park as visitors were warned to run.
Bystanders were shocked when they saw the incident unfold at Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park in Broome, in northern Western Australia.
The saltwater crocodile tried to climb over a wire fence in the reserve, which is home to about 600 crocodiles and alligators.
A ranger was feeding the animals pieces of meat at the time and warning visitors to be ready to flee.
A short while later the crocodile climbed down from the fence again and crawled into its enclosure.
Guide Owen Douglas said it was not unusual to see crocodiles climbing over the fence.
“Often these crocodiles are extremely aggressive, so it is quite common for a crocodile to climb over the feeding bay, as in this park,” he said. 9News.
Mr. Douglas dismissed concerns about the safety of visitors and park rangers.

“We’re all very well trained, we all know what we’re doing,” he said.
‘I’m sure the tourists secretly hope that one of the guide’s arms will be chopped off, but unfortunately for them [it] will not happen’.
The park provides a habitat for ‘problem crocodiles’, a term used for crocodiles that pose a threat to public safety.
Some crocodiles are up to four meters long.
According to Mr Douglas, the crocodile park provides the animals with a safe living environment.
“Ideally these crocodiles would be living in the wild, but they were saved from death,” he said.
