Moment woman confronts neighbour for ‘stealing’ her garden furniture… after spotting chairs in his back yard

A British TikToker has shared footage of the moment she asked her neighbors to return her stolen garden furniture.

The video of @propertycouple has been seen by more than 3.3 million people and has divided opinions on how viewers would handle the situation.

In the video she asks for her garden furniture back, which she claims her neighbors ‘keep taking and putting in their garden’.

She explained: ‘My neighbors stole my garden furniture, so I bought a set of four (chairs), two of them are there, the other two are through there.’

The property TikToker shows viewers the two chairs left in her garden and two identical chairs in her neighbour’s garden, which are visible through a hole in the fence.

She exclaimed, “I literally see them in their garden,” and decided to approach the man who lived there.

She shouted over to him and said, ‘Excuse me mate, I noticed my garden furniture is here, can I have it back?’

‘I just think someone from your house keeps stealing my garden furniture. One second, I’ll just take it.’

Then he quickly passes the chairs over the fence to her and she adds, “There are a few more that the old people who lived here left behind, that I tried to get rid of, but I don’t know if you want them to have?’

She wrote on the screen: “I offered him some other patio furniture that came with my house when we bought it that I don’t need, but he said no.”

The man continues to pass the furniture and the woman responds, “I appreciate that, thank you, if you know who it could have been?”

However, the neighbor responds: ‘I woke up one morning and they were outside and I was shocked myself.’

She thanks him and clarifies that she got her four chairs back, adding, “Let’s see how long they last before asking viewers how they would have handled this.

One commenter joked: ‘Only in Britain, yes mate, you can have your stolen seats. Cheers, thanks, would you like these old chairs so you don’t steal mine again!!!?’

Others wrote ‘Very cheeky, you were a lot calmer than I would have been’ and ‘I wouldn’t be that nice. So rude and unapologetic’.

Another eagle-eyed viewer said: “Looks like they might have stolen the other neighbors green chair too. There is an identical one in the next yard,” to which she replied “Omg, I never noticed that!!!” Good place’.

Someone else joked: ‘What a British attitude, excuse me sir can I have my own furniture back,’ while another wrote: ‘I’d just take it back.’

An American chimed in with, “I love that you’re so polite about it!!! I don’t know where you’re from, but here in New York it certainly wouldn’t have happened that way.”
