Moment very unlikely porch pirate in Nashville steals family’s package after dancing around Amazon delivery driver

A Nashville woman suspected a “porch pirate” had stolen Christmas presents from her front door — and was surprised to discover the hairdresser had four legs and a fur coat.
Marlene O'Mara was surprised when her daughter and granddaughter's presents disappeared from her porch after being delivered by Amazon.
But her confusion disappeared when she looked at her security camera, which captured her neighbor's Siberian husky circling the delivery person before taking the package.
“I was angry at first, but I laugh every time I watch the video,” O'Mara said WSMV.
Footage shows the mischievous dog circling the Amazon driver. The dog disappears from view before the driver gets into his van, then reappears and approaches the porch.
The husky looks curiously at the package before climbing the front steps and sniffs around before retreating.

O'Mara said she was angry at first, but every time she sees the video she laughs
After the delivery person drives away, the dog appears to check if the coast is clear before approaching the package again.
This time he gingerly takes the envelope in his mouth and takes the package out to the front yard to chew on it. A little later the dog runs off with his loot.
O'Mara was amazed: “That smart dog looks around and waits for the Amazon driver to drive away before he grabs the package!”
She was able to pick up the gifts from the dog's owner. Fortunately, the contents were not damaged, she said.
This isn't the first time a four-legged porch pirate has made the news.
In March 2021Dallas woman jenny anchondo was woken up by her husband after a stranger appeared at their front door – in the shape of a fluffy Great Pyrenees.
Video taken with a Ring camera showed the dog sniffing the package before sinking its teeth into it.
The hairy bandit slowly backed away before finding the courage to cross the street and disappear from view.

Earlier this week, an adorable but nefarious thief smashed into a home in Cincinnati, Ohio, where a toddler was apparently coached by her mother to take an Amazon package.
Just before midnight, Jasmin Norman received a notification that her doorbell camera had been activated.
When she watched the footage, she saw a little girl in a blue skirt and pink tights grab her parcel and run away.
By the time Norman reached the front door, the child had reached a woman pushing a stroller, and together they left the scene.
“You're coaching a child… a baby, that you can take from others at such a young age,” Norman complained to Fox 19. “Where are your morals?”
Norman revealed that the package was supposed to be a surprise Christmas gift from her husband to her, adding that this was the second time a package had been taken from her porch.
