Moment two men smirk and laugh at NYC restaurant owner after he caught them vandalizing his outdoor dining shed

Two grown men just laughed when a New York City restaurant owner caught them red-handed and confronted them for vandalizing his outdoor dining area.

One of them was seen writing graffiti on the shed before the angry owner of Flowers Café went over to stop him.

He recorded the incident and shared it on Instagram, where it received more than 3,000 likes.

“Man, are you serious?” he asks the man creating graffiti, who immediately stands up and starts walking away.

The owner tells the men that he paid $16,000 for the outdoor dining area, but they just laugh at him before leaving the area.

The man who was writing graffiti on the shed was confronted by the owner before turning and walking away with his bicycle.

“I paid $16,000 for this whole house to rebuild,” the owner told the men.

One of them replied, “You paid $16,000? This guy didn’t sand it, dude. Bloody awful.”

The owner said, “It’s a $25,000 fine, so I’m going to forward this video to the police.”

But the second man, who saw the building destroyed, said sarcastically: “Oh no.”

While his friend added: ‘Forward it to the police.’

The Flowers Cafe owner shared a video of the ordeal on Instagram, writing: ‘I wonder if anyone knows these guys who ruined my outdoor seating?

“Any clue would be appreciated.”

New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino, who represents District 19 of Queens, posted the clip to X.

‘When he told them how much it cost him and what the fines would be, they mocked him and walked away.

“They laughed when he threatened to call the police, knowing there was virtually nothing the NYPD could do in the current situation other than issuing a small fine.

“In the meantime, the owner could be fined $25,000 for failing to clean up the vandalism.”

She added: ‘Why would anyone want to bother opening a business under these circumstances?’
