Two sisters heading to Chicago for the Christmas holidays were forced off an Amtrak train after their pet Pomeranian put on a barking and defecating show, apparently disturbing other passengers.
The couple, who were not identified, were escorted off the train on December 21 by police officers in Grand Junction, Colorado. The women then had to rent a car and drive through storms to get to their loved ones in time for Christmas.
Brent Bell, a dog trainer and passenger on the train and took a video of the ordeal, said KTLA News it was ‘run out of some dog poop which they cleaned up right away’.
‘These poor shy women they were just shocked that this was the treatment they were receiving,” he said, beginning to record because “he knew he would witness an injustice,” claiming that he was ‘tired of injustice’.
Amtrak claimed that the dog “created a ruckus by repeatedly barking, urinating and defecating” on the train. After the couple were removed, Amtrak apologized and said they were welcome back on the train with his dog.

Bell, a dog trainer, said he is familiar with Pomeranians and their temperaments and sympathizes with the two women, who held the dog on their lap during the journey to keep the pup calm.
One of the sisters talked to the Nexstar KDVR off camera. She told the news outlet that she picked up poop from the train, but claimed it wasn’t from her dog and she did it out of courtesy to the other passengers.
She also claimed that the train conductor and other people were attacking them during their raid on the train, and one of them was apparently harassed while going to the bathroom, which she said upset her.
Amtrak spokeswoman Kimberly Woods said in a statement: “We apologize for the inconvenience and disruption to our passengers’ holiday travel on December 21.”
“Out of concern for all of our customers on the 6 Train, two passengers were told to get off after their dog created a disturbance by repeatedly barking, urinating and defecating in the customer seating area.
‘The dog’s owner received multiple warnings about the dog being in the seat and was given advance notice of stops where the dogs could go for a walk. Several nearby passengers also asked to be moved because of the noise and smell.

Passenger Brent Bill recorded the ordeal the sisters encountered during their Amtrak ride. He posted the video to his TikTok which has since gone viral.
After the women got off the train and waited on the sidewalk with their pet and all their belongings while two officers stood nearby, the conductor asked Bell to put her phone away.
Bell told the director: ‘You don’t have a choice, I can record the scenario.’
But, the conductor told Bell that he has ‘all the options on this train, this is mine’.
During a Zoom interview, Bell said he told KDVR that he asked the people in the car they were in if anyone was “upset about this little doggie,” but said no one showed up.
Bell, whose video garnered hundreds of views, said she has a soft spot for ‘old ladies,’ said she’s started a GoFundMe that has already raised more than $500.
