An aide to Donald Trump’s campaign railed against the Democratic mayor of a Pennsylvania city over what appeared to be his attempt to tear down the barricades protecting Trump’s rally on Tuesday.
Donald Trump appeared Tuesday in Allentown, a mid-sized city in the all-important Keystone State.
A TikToker caught Democrat Mayor Matt Tuerk in a heated argument with a staffer from the former president’s campaign about the barricades, which could delay residents’ access to early voting locations.
“All they have to do is walk around the outside of the barricades,” the staffer claims. “Dude, you said we had this whole intersection thing going on. You said that three times and then all of a sudden you let traffic pass and I’m trying to put out a bike rack while avoiding cars at the same time.”
The mayor suggests they close another intersection before the employee blasphemously points out that the city has notified the public of the road closures and that police have authorized the rally.

“You think I’m going to fucking take it off now? “You put out a press statement yesterday – the city did that – saying this whole block was closed. Do you know what it shows on Apple Maps? It says that this entire intersection is closed. Look it up.’
‘Do you think I’m going to remove the barricades now? Yes, you’ve gone crazy. Don’t ever talk to me like that again,” the staffer told Tuerk, who tried to call the police.
He says that the mayor is only trying to distract from the Trump meeting and is also afraid that people will vote for Trump after all.
‘The elections are in eight days and on the day of the demonstration you show up in a new suit, with all your cameras, to show that you are big and strong, that you can close this? Why don’t we walk over it, why don’t we walk over it now?’
After the video went viral on social media, the Trump campaign jumped to the defense of their staffer.
“The Trump-crazed Democratic mayor of Allentown attempted to disrupt the build-up to President Trump’s rally, despite the campaign having proper permits and approving road closures,” spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
‘We appreciate the assistance of local police in ensuring the meeting was a great success.’
When asked what was wrong, Tuerk blamed the staffer for letting the moment get to him Fox News his problem was that a bike rack “appeared to restrict access for voters with limited mobility to cast their ballots at the county government center.”

Tuerk also responded to the backlash with a post on social media.
“My biggest concerns about yesterday’s Trump event were that we would protect and issue EVERYONE’s access to the ballot,” he wrote.
‘In collaboration with the event organizers, we were able to get the best out of ourselves.’
Trump spoke Tuesday evening to thousands of fans gathered in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with just seven days to go until the election.
The 81-year-old commander-in-chief responded Sunday to a comedian at Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden who compared Puerto Rico to a “floating island of trash.”
Biden said during a campaign Zoom on Tuesday night, “The only trash I see floating out there is his [Trump’s] supporters.’
It immediately sparked backlash from MAGA fans, including Trump himself, who spoke about it in the middle of his rally.
“Wow, that’s something [Biden] says…garbage. I think it’s worse [than deplorables],” he fired back.

He was referring to Hillary Clinton’s now infamous 2016 rant about the “basket of deporables” Trump supported during his first run.
“Please forgive him because he doesn’t know what he’s saying. To be honest, he doesn’t. And I’m convinced he likes me more than Kamala,” Trump continued, with a nod to Biden’s declining mental faculties.
‘No!’ the crowd shouted back at the former president.
Trump’s allies quickly piled on criticism of Joe Biden’s comments.
“Just now Joe Biden said our supporters are trash. I hope their campaign is on the verge of an apology,” said Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, who took the stage with Trump.
“We are not trash, we are patriots who love America.”
