Moment Travis Kelce comforts bloodied female fan after smashing her on the HEAD with his golf ball at celebrity tournament

The moment Travis Kelce comforted a female fan on Saturday after he hit her in the head with his golf ball was captured on video.

During the 35th annual American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end hit multiple shots into the crowd. On Saturday, a stray ball from Kelce struck a young girl in the crowd, leaving her bloodied.

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend was on the 16th hole at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course when his drive hit the woman in the back of the head. An eyewitness told PEOPLE that blood was streaked in her blond hair.

Footage shows the three-time Super Bowl winner comforting the young spectator as she receives medical treatment on the court.

As Kelce stood with the fan, another bad shot flew over the crowd — and the crowd audibly responded in unison. After another sticky situation, Kelce remained in his spot as security shielded the fan from the commotion.

“I think you guys better step aside,” Kelce said as he walked away.

His brother and tournament rival Jason also went to check on the woman, who reportedly said she wasn’t sure which of the two Kelce brothers had made the wrong shot.

Eventually, after sitting on the floor for a few minutes, she was able to stand on her own. Staff removed her from the court and play quickly resumed.

Despite this, Kelce finished his first round tied for 62nd place with legendary pitcher Roger Clemens and SNL alumnus Colin Jost, a far cry from where he finished in 2023, when he won the tournament.

Interestingly enough, Travis Jason recently gave some prescient advice about the event in a podcast episode.

“This is my first time going to Lake Tahoe. Any advice?” Jason asked Travis on an episode of New Heights.

“My advice would be don’t feel guilty if you hit someone just because they bought the ticket,” Travis joked.

“They’re a bunch of amateurs trying to play golf, so don’t feel bad,” Travis continued. “People have been hit before. They’ve got first aiders, whatever it’s called, they’ve been to every hole. Everybody’s going to be okay.”

The Chiefs star would embody his own advice early in the tournament, not only hitting the aforementioned woman, but a Kelce tee shot went into the crowd on the first hole, hitting a man in the arm.

A video posted to X showed Kelce marching across the court with a sheriff before finding the fan who had been struck by his shot. Upon meeting the gentleman, who was wearing a bright blue button-down, Kelce shook his hand before leaning in to kiss his arm.

The apologetic gesture was met with laughter and cheers from the crowd in Edgewood.
