The View’s Whoopi Goldberg has criticized “toxically masculine” men who are getting worked up about Taylor quickly getting screen time at her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s NFL games.
Goldberg and her ABC co-host Joy Behar discussed the star’s baffling obsession on Wednesday’s edition of their show, asking football fans why they’re “so bullied.”
Swift has become a fixture of NFL broadcast coverage, but has also drawn criticism from people who feel her presence ruins their viewing experience.
The View hosts took aim at the critics, with Goldberg, 68, saying, “What are you so worked up about?
‘Why are you so angry? There are so many things to be angry about in this world. Why are these men toxically masculine?’
The View’s Whoopi Goldberg has asked men annoyed by Taylor Swift appearing on TV in support of her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce, “Why are you so angry?”
Goldberg’s co-host Joy Behar added that these “toxically masculine” men “need to go get a psychiatrist.”

Behar encouraged those who had issues with Swift’s performances during NFL games to seek professional help.
The 81-year-old said: ‘These boys need therapy, see a psychiatrist! I mean, they don’t think it’s manly to be in therapy.
“It’s not about male (or) female, it’s about your brain, and that’s why they need some help, and that’s why I feel sorry for them.”
Another face of the show, Sara Haines, wondered that some people’s problem was that the NFL had been a “no girls allowed” environment, which had shattered the immensely successful singer in a way that made some “very uncomfortable.” found.
‘Here comes Taylor Swift. She has more money and therefore more power. She is more famous and comes to visit her boyfriend at his house,” Haines added.
Sonny Hostin called the vocal viewers who get upset with Swift during NFL games a “weird group” and said she sees nothing wrong with the Cruel Summer singer supporting her other half.
Very similar language was used by FOX Sports analyst Colin Cowherd in a rant in which he criticized critics while dismissing their complaints.
In the nearly four-minute rant, he said, “There are a lot of weird, lonely, insecure men out there.
“The fact that a pop star, the biggest pop star in the world, is dating a star who had one of his best games ever (in the AFC Championship game), and a network briefly puts them on the air, you know you suffer from. What does that say about your life?’
He then debunked the “I just want to watch football” defense by saying that an average three-and-a-half-hour NFL broadcast will only show 18 minutes of “real football.”
That wasn’t the only statistic Cowherd had up his sleeve.
He continued, “Listen to this. The New York Times measured how long she was actually on air. Do you know how long it is? Average? 25 seconds. In three and a half hours. Against the Ravens it took all of 32 seconds. It was 14 (for) Chiefs and Raiders at Christmas. Twelve (for) Chiefs and Bengals, 24 seconds (for) Buffalo-Kansas City.
“She had a minute against the Dolphins. But it was an absolutely terrible broadcast. They should have given a concert in the middle of it. That would have been more interesting. And why wouldn’t CBS, which, you know, have the Grammys, cross-promote the biggest pop star in the world?
“And we have the data, we have the numbers. You don’t turn away. There are coaches cutaways. They show fans in Buffalo on fire. Commercials, reviews, 18 minutes of real football for the record, about the length of five Taylor Swift songs.”
Cowherd then pointed out that stars like Matthew McConaughey, Drake, Spike Lee, Eminem and Jack Nicholson are on television all the time during sporting events without any complaints from the audience.
“But there’s a talented and beautiful woman on the air, someone who would never pay attention to lonely men, and it bothers them.”

He continued, “There’s a statistic – it’s kind of uncomfortable for you sad boys – that 50 percent of men never have real intimacy with a woman. This means that the remaining 50 percent have multiple intimate relationships with women.
‘And those who don’t are angry, sad and lonely. And they are often misogynistic and resent women who didn’t give them the time they think they deserve.
“We celebrate all these idiots jumping on tables in Buffalo and cheese hats (in Green Bay)… and Matthew McConaughey and Drake and Jack Nicholson… and it’s cool…
‘A young, attractive, beautiful, talented woman comes by for 25 seconds and it bothers you again. Judge people based on the silly things that bother them.
“This anger, this says nothing about Taylor Swift. It says everything about the men who suffer from it.’
Swift will likely be seen again next weekend on February 11, as she is expected to attend Super Bowl LVIII, where Kelce and the Chiefs will play the San Francisco 49ers.
