A Florida meteorologist had a startle reaction on live television after a pigeon dived for a beach cam — even thought she was safe in her studio.
Chelsea Ambriz was about to tell the locals the upcoming forecast when a large pigeon flew at the weather camera on Hollywood Beach and screamed in fear.
“Whoa, my god!” she said as she began ducking into the studio on Sunday. “The bird scared me.”
She gestured to the seaweed along the shoreline as the bird came into view.
She would later reveal that from her point of view, it felt like the bird was heading towards her and her first instinct was to get out of the way, before realizing she was safe in the studio.

The seasoned meteorologist continued, but after the forecast, she took to Twitter to joke about her fear, writing, “Brain: bird is going to land on you! Reality: I’m in the studio and this is a live camera.’
“I didn’t expect the bird to come, and from my point of view, I thought it was going to land on my head,” she told NBC 6. “My natural reaction was to duck. Then in a nanosecond you think: “You’re on TV, you’re working, keep it up, keep it up.”‘
The seasoned meteorologist continued, but after the forecast, she took to Twitter to joke about her fear.
