Moment Tesla Cybertruck STALLS during tug-of-war with Chevy Silverado after advert showed the electric vehicle pulling a Ford F-150

Twitter boss Elon Musk’s Cybertruck has been put to the test in a new video showing a game of tug-of-war with a Chevy Silverado.

Ever since the billionaire shared a promo video in 2019 that pitted the EV against a Ford F-150, Youtubers have been challenging the Cybertruck against other vehicles to see how much power it has.

A video released by YouTube channel Cyber ​​Hooligan shows the Cybertruck being paired with a diesel-powered Chevy Silverado pickup — and the results were surprising.

The video shows the Cybertruck abandoning its first attempt, allowing the Silverado to tow the 5,500-pound EV behind it.

At one point the Cybertruck does manage to tow the Silverado, but only when the diesel car is in parking mode.

Experts at InsiderEV explained that the celebrity-favorite vehicle’s engine shuts down due to a failsafe that activates once the Silverado starts pulling on it.

According to a team member who shot the video, manufacturers may have added a precautionary mechanism to prevent damage to the truck.

A number of high-profile incidents have made the $80,000 Cybertruck a hot topic of discussion.

Earlier this week, a Cybertruck driver crashed into an iconic Beverly Hills hotel and Musk ended up asking for a new hotel after blaming the hotel’s valet service.

The door of the brand new stainless steel ‘cyberbeast’ was ripped off by the crash, prompting police to arrive on the scene.

During the 2am incident, the vehicle became stuck on top of the raised curb and in the palm fronds surrounding the entrance sign.

The user, @jackdidthatt, captioned the photo, “@elonmusk the hotel clerk in Beverly Hills just crashed my friend’s brand new cyber truck while pulling him around!! Can you help me get another one??’

Musk commented on the post and weighed in on the crash, saying, “Tesla super truck with insane torque, dynamic air suspension and turns like it’s on rails.”

However, the valet company’s business owner has hit back at the claims, insisting that they have had a “strong reputation” in the Beverly Hills community for 70 years.

Dorchester Collection is the valet company that provides parking for visitors to the luxurious LA hotel.

The owner confirmed that the electric vehicle was not being driven by any of his employees at the time of the crash and that it was the Tesla’s owner who rammed the car into the hotel.

But this wasn’t the only Cybertruck crash.

Also earlier this week, a careless driver who ignored the “No vehicles on beach or dunes” sign drove his Tesla Cybertruck onto a California beach, where he became stuck in the sand.

A video taken by a bystander captured the entire ordeal and showed the driver, who was from Nevada, talking to firefighters and other officials as his Cybertruck stood a few feet away from the lapping waves.

Moments later, firefighters attempted to push the 6.8430-pound vehicle off the beach.

The woman who shot the video, which was shared with KSBW8, said: “Today is the fourth of March and some dumbass decided to take his Tesla into the sand.”

She added that the driver was “enraged.”

You could see the firefighters slowly rolling the truck backwards, with a lot of effort and tension.

Musk’s truck, which was released to much fanfare, has been dogged by technical problems such as software glitches and serious braking failures since its launch in November.
